Even 590 thefan or whatever the digits are in YYC and call name is said this afternoon at this point the ask is likely a 2nd and a 3rd. Some reports online saying the leafs have an offer on the table and want an answer when they get back from Sweden. Supposedly includes Brodie or Klingberg, a pick and a prospect. I could be wrong, but I thought Brodie didn't leave on the best of terms? Was upset an offer wasn't even extended or something? And Klingberg should be a non-starter.

Either is basicly a CAP dump by the Leafs so the return coming back would need to reflect that. For the Flames to make a trade with most teams it will need to include money in money out.

IMO no.
The Flames or any other team will attach very little value if any to Klingberg... bottom line he's a CAP dump to make the money work and its going to cost the Leafs to get any team to take him.
I know nothing about McMann but he appears to be a 27 year old AHL journeyman so him, a 4th plus a CAP dump seems extremely unlikely for Z. The Flames dont have to trade him today and will be patient waiting to sell high on him.
Klingberg (4.15 CAP dump) plus a 1st for Z (3.75) seems more likely to me.
The Leafs get Z plus 400K in CAP savings
The Flames get the washed up Kilngberg and a 1st.

Yes this deal needs to bring back quality not quantity and if we need to eat some $ on our UFA's to accomplish that damn well do it!
