If they could somehow miraculously get rid of Ristolainen. I'd sign him for 2 years for something like 2.5M a year. He's better than I thought he would be to this point. Although I think as the season progresses the shine will wear off. He's also better than Ristolainen, albeit in a small sample.

I'd honestly be OK with that, if like you said they can use their holy water to trade Ristolainen. I just hope he keeps up the play right up to the deadline and some GM overpays for his right handedness with a second rounder (or first, fingers crossed).

Hath, Laughts and ND had an incredible string of games when they were first put together... lifted all their season numbers up.

Tortorella had very little to do with it. As you conveniently forget, Tortorella had to be talked to by management to play the younger players more. While he was playing stiffs like McEwen 15 minutes a game. If it wasn't for major injuries to players such as Couturier and Atkinson. Young players would've played far less. Tortorella is about the worst coach you could have for future team and young player development. You come around to that conclusion at some point.
