im old enough to remember when Nick Roberston was tossed into every one these trades.

all things gone quiet on shipping him out

- senstroll

Yeah a lot of us Leaf fans were dumb for that.

Hope they don't trade him.

Let's do the math, shall we?

Leafs are currently on a pace for 98 points (60% win percentage. With 67 games remaining, they need 77 points to get to 95 (took a little less last year to get a wildcard, but 95 is a good historical guesstimate). That means they need to play at a 57% win percentage.

Bolts are currently on pace for 82 points (50% win percentage). To get to 95 points, they need to play at 60% for the rest of the year. Three more points than the Leafs.

Or 1 more point in December, 1 more point in February, and 1 more point in April.

That sounds pretty franking close to me.

I hate to agree with Santo, but he's not wrong and I have been saying the same thing for a while now. Yet, like Boston, Tampa just keeps chugging along.

But, we've played only a quarter of the season and the Bolts usually go on an extended heater at some point in the campaign (usually around the midseason). So, before we pass final judgement, let's at least wait until the Xmas holiday and see how things play out.

And besides, Santo, if you start eulogizing Tampa too prematurely, you are gonna trigger our resident Thrashers fan again.

I never said they won't make it...just that they might not

And this is the first time in a long time fans can say this, so I don't see the issue in thinking TB will be in a bit of a fight for a spot.

I understand, I also understand that 6 wins in your first 16 games makes it hard to make playoffs for any team.

They went through their poop spell in their first 16 games, now they can't do that again. It will be hard for them.

I still think he has a chance.

I'm following his progress on (checks hockeydb) Yekaterinburg Automobilist.

Wait, is that really a team?

Does anyone not find it at least a little strange Klingberg has missed 3 straight practices(Timmins is even practicing) , missed out on Borje's celebration night with the other swedes but still played Friday in what was arguably his best game of the season?(not hard I know)

But still...a 7-8 hour flight really made him bed ridden enough to not even show up to Borje's celebration? FFs even Lil was there in his walking boot.

Me thinks he has been told he has been traded.

Why wouldn’t they just leave him in Toronto and say he was injured?

Who knows, maybe family stuff in Sweden.

If there is a deal thats basically done unless Zadorov, Tanev, or anyone involved has a season ending injury the trade will happen eventually.

I have no idea, its just very odd that he is a complete no show while Timmins is practicing and Lil makes an appearance to Sweden legend Borje's celebration. The no show on Borje's night is little annoying...like why aren't you there? Sounds like his injury should be pretty bad then but looked fine on Friday.

Keefe's only line on him is "the flight was tough on him" give me a break

He also played 19 mins in his last game and looked fine. I didn’t see anything that might’ve caused an injury or no media brought anything up after the game.

It is all a bit odd

Remember when frattin missed that breakaway in game 7 against the bruins that most likely would’ve iced the game.

He had 60% expected goals too...he had a good game.

No reason to be missing team events in Sweden, unless this is a long term injury.
