Buddy needs to (frank) off. Saying people suggesting it was intentional is deplorable. What's deplorable is intentionally lifting your leg that high at another player carelessly, and killing him. If that was his son or brother or father or family member dead from it I'm sure he would be si going a different tune.

Sorry had to vent

I believe there is a police investigation on the incident which could lead to or already has led to an arrest

He's probably the sweetener in the Klingberg cap dump trade.
- Zezel

The good news is that although Klingberg has a $4.15M cap hit, they paid out $2M of it on Day 1, so the Coyotes could afford him.

Especially since there is no rule against having Reid Mitchell, Leafs Director, Hockey and Scouting Operations attend a Coyotes game, and buy 500,000 bags of popcorn while he is there.

Maybe, maybe not. More teams will be sellers and less teams as buyers the closer to TDL it gets I'd imagine.
- systemtool

There could be for sure and most likely will be.
But would they have Dmen like hannifin, tanev and Zadorov available? Not sure.
But if im Calgary, im in no rush to move them out. Unless someone is overpaying. I hope the leafs dont.
We'll see.

He has been arrested.

But I read an interesting Twitter thread from a sports law expert.

She was saying that an arrest doesn't necessarily mean there will be a good chance of conviction.

Many times it means that they want to get the wheels in motion for a complete investigation, and this is a necessary step.

I'm not doing a great job of explaining it - I'll see if I can find the thread.

Man..

This a very real challenge living in a small town in the north.

My risk hazard assessment would go:

1. Bears
2. Alcoholics/drug addicts
3. Bad ice

That goodness for that!

When this first happened I accepted reports of a freak accident and even heard some reporters feeling bad Petgrave would have to live with this etc.

I just had to see how it all happened though. I assumed it was a play low on the ice and expected to see fluke play that led to it. Once I saw the video I was shocked, very upset and disgusted that anyone can see this anything but an intentional act to lift his leg towards the player, not to kill him of course but at least hurt or impede the victim. Sickened me there wasn't anyone at the time calling him out.

Surprised you didn't bring up "Bad Google Maps." That's the thing that has me in shivers once I'm north of North Bay

Here in Toronto, the list is:

1. Bad Drivers
2. Drivers looking left while turning right, not checking for pedestrians
3. Drivers cruising through stop signs because they are far too important to make a complete stop when they are speeding on residential streets instead of on the main thoroughfare.

There are plenty of bears in Toronto, but they are harmless in their cutoff flannel shirts.

Google took me down a side road once where I ended up on an ice hill with a downed tree and had to walk three hours to get a phone signal to get a tow truck Still triggered over following anything off the main roads out there (this was off Highway 63)

I don’t know exactly what happened here, but as someone who drives down abandoned roads/trails/paths etc, I put the blame squarely on you here for trusting what google maps says.

Come on, man. Lol.

Oh, it's all on me dude and a father/son team coming out to drag me out for only $350 bucks and I learned my lesson. But also (frank) google for taking me off the highway and trusting it. Using the summer map no doubt.

You'd have crackheads listed higher if your neighbourhood got them forced on you, like the people living near The Delta got them forced on them.

So drivers.

I absolutely love driving up here. I can drive the highway for an hour north of here and not see a single vehicle. Nice paved highway too. My friends here have 10 yr old vehicles with only 15000 km’s on them because they never drive to or in the city.
