We had a COVID crack hotel in our neighbourhood. Needles found on my daughter's schoolground on a semi-regular basis.

I still put cars above them on the list. I'm nearly killed by one every single franking day.

He's one year removed from 92 points in 78 games and in a year where he was on a (frank)ed up hip the entire time he put up 57 points in 73 games and 6 points in 7 playoff games. Why would he ever take 800k? He's won three times and feels like his hip is back and 100%.

I would assume that’s enough to have a good life for yourself, your kids, your kids kids.

At what point are your more interested in getting that Stanley cup and ending an almost 69 year cup drought. If Toronto is on his radar I don’t think a couple million will be a deterrent.

CJ also said he wants to find a long term home.

Not necessary a contract with term but whatever teams that meet with him will have to have cap space beyond this year to sign him.

Maybe he is fine with 1M this year but if he has a good year he will want a team thats willing to give him 4-5M after this year.

Edit: also just thought...can a team sign him 1 year and have a handshake deal that re signs him in a month and a half once JAN 1st rolls around?
