I want them to do what it takes to be successful as well and I agree with you in that they haven't taken the right approach. Sadly, the front office has made many mistakes over the years. I don't agree with them, but nothing I can do about it and neither can anyone on HB. Sure, go on, be miserable and complain about everything the Flyers do day in and day out. I'm just trying to get you to lighten up a bit. It's not healthy to be so angry and condescending all the time. Enjoy life. It's only a game. Good night and good hockey!

You keep making assumptions as if someone critiques the team in a certain light, that makes them miserable. In my case you're wrong about that. You're trying to get me to lighten up a bit? LOL By responding to a legitimate question I posed with your response that I made a snarky remark in record time? Who are you kidding? LOL

I'm trying to get you discuss hockey. If you lost your bitterness and that chip on your shoulder, that might happen. It's only a game.

Everyone's opinion is fair game. Commenting on opinions in agreement or disagreement is fair game. When you get into telling people what they should do and how they should act as a fan. That crosses a line to me. Like I said, I think you're normally an even keel and fair guy. Which is why I posted that I don't think you meant anything by it. It was just out of line in my opinion. So, we can be done with and move on. Or not. Peace to you also

Just to clarify... it's not meant to tell people what they can and/or can ot say, it's a comment of disappointment on the negativity that the vocal majority posts after wins, and during up periods... Of course anyone and everyone in America has the right and freedom to post what they want; I just don't understand why they would... why they do.

I understand the desire to have a contending team... I'd just rather at those times to maybe discuss whatever upside the team is having, and I find it hard to believe we cannot find any. If you will only stand near ultimate play, IMO you will miss out on some enjoyable moments... again in my opinion.

I hope that makes sense... and seems fair... Please don't mistake my disappointment as a demand for people here to buckle to my whims. Yes, we can move on.

Well said and thank you! Despite some of our differences, we all have had to suffer through a rough stretch of Flyers hockey. I was too young to really remember the Cup wins, so I want to see one Cup win that I can enjoy before I'm too old and don't know what day it is. It's going to be a while but I still watch and cheer on the Flyers no matter what. Sure the current team is not going to do much, especially with the Defense we are putting out there. That said, I'm enjoying seeing the kids getting ice time (despite my disagreement with Torts and his scratch system). Complaining on here every day about the team, ND, management, etc won't change anything so let's enjoy things like winning 3 road games against quality teams. I personally am looking forward to Foerster breaking out and start scoring, as it will happen. Good night and good Hockey!

Thanks for the kind words... At my age, I'm at the point where long-term memory allows me to remember the Cup Years, the 35 game unbeaten streak, the two Oilers series, the Legion of Doom Era, and the lightning in a bottle run... along with all the other great contending seasons... I miss them dearly and curse the Cap Era emergence... my concern is that I very well my not be around for the third Cup -- I'm hanging on for the Michkov Era -- I want to gather as much enjoyment as possible before I join the great O&B fanclub in the sky... if little things like 3 out of 4 road wins gets me some enjoyment, I'll take it. I want that 3rd Cup as much as anyone here, but feel for those who haven't lived through even one... we are all basically wanting the same thing... I wish we could all enjoy the ride together; the uos as well as the downs. JMO

You don't seem to understand the other perspective. We've had enjoyable moments. That is not enough for some anymore. Me included. I want to see a Stanley Cup. I want to see the team operate and build the right way to have a legitimate shot at that. You misconstrue that by posting pessimistically about the team when it is warranted, means there are no enjoyable moments. Not the case. You can still enjoy small moments while also not being satisfied easily with the playoff bubble status or less that they've had for the last decade plus.
