theres a reason why I went on over and over again about adding a vet on defense on the right side. I knew it would be a problem

its not a lack of system or anything

its a lack of experience

if a chicken saw it coming...

Meh, I like Barron's play since he entered the lineup, Kovacevic is pretty steady.

Harris playing on his wrong side is "meh" and once Savard went down and we're stuck having a Lindstrom in there, the right side becomes considerably weaker.

Add to that Xhekaj (love that guy) isn't a solid shutdown defenseman yet and is prone to mistake.

Matheson's been great but also high risk/high reward.

Guhle is a stud.

Bottom line, still lots of mistakes made on a defense that needs more experience but if everyone was healthy it would already be alot better.

BIG IF I KNOW.

This is like saying that they would have no use of Monahan if Dach would not be out for the season

this team needs all the help that it can get

cetait une aventure en défensive même avec Savard

yes, and adding another vet wouldn't change anything to it. it's the system (or lack of) they play which is the problem.

you were among those who were saying we needed to be patient, that this rebuild would take at least 5 years, yet here you are among the most impatient fans, expecting a solid defensive structure not even after 2 years...

yes Pat, but no improvement what so ever after a year and a half?!? that should take a few months, not a few years.
they play man to man, one of the only team in the league to do so.
players improve on a personnal basis, that we can see it, but they do not collectively.
but lets be patient.

I don't know, I feel like things are moving along slowly but to say we're not improved over last year is false imho.
