In a couple years, when he's ready, Mitts, Krebs, Olo, Girgs, Okposo, Greenway, Jost and unfortunately Tuch, may all be gone. There's going to be room for these kids IF they get there. We'll see Kulich and Rosen next year, Benson is already here. So we'll have him and Savoie to either use as trade chips or replace the production of one of the above.
Skinner Tage Quinn
Peterka Cozens Benson
Savoie Kulich Rosen
Big MF Murrrrrrrrrrrrr Wahlberg Cederqvist?
You could have a new kids line if you wanted. But that top9 is going to be able to produce some goals, that's for sure. Leaves a lot of cap to add a RHD and resign everyone necessary.
And in all seriousness, by then, if we have this many ELCs working, you can take on a couple higher priced defensive forwards to replace guys like Murr and Cederqvist if you want. Really just depends on defensive spending. - QuinnFan
Do you honestly believe that's a cup contending roster?

Maybe. They have no prospects of real value. But they're also trying to win and aren't willing to make that kind of sacrifice.
So while the value favors the Knights, they would say no. - TheSabresTaco
Those players are at the top of the league in respect to the roles they play, Vegas wins the potential in the deal but the Sabres on ice product improves in reality tremendously.

Cup contending, no, playoff spot ensured, yes. I imagine we'll see a better 4th line than that, but just wanted to show more of how this thing could open up very quickly. Personally, at this point I'd like to keep Mitts and Tuch, which changes the complexion substantially, but then you just end up with more upgrades through trading the kids.
Skinner Pettersson Tuch
Peterka Tage Quinn
Savoie Mitts Rosen
Hathaway Wahlberg Cederqvist
I think you could see something like this, because eventually we can start big game hunting. Cozens+Benson+Kulich is a good start to an EP package, as an example. Doesn't mean he's the guy, but you could definitely upgrade any position in your top6 pretty easily. |

The offer didn't work for them then and it definitely wouldn't work for them now.
Would I make that trade for Buffalo? Yes.

EP is probably a long shot, even with a lot of trade chips stacked up over here. That being said, a position of need can be upgraded easily. Just have to pull the trigger when the next disgruntled superstar wants out. |

they dont expect to do sh!t now, just like 2 years ago
this team is not going to compete in april or may
there is zero accountability with this franchise
the gm has no accountability nor the coach nor the players

honestly it'd be very similar to the 07 sabres. so if they have a ryan miller, probably yes.

I don't think the Sabres make anything easy, even with the best package, a NMC could end it. Action is needed to kick start whatever plan they have now, who is going to be the spark plug for this organization...currently it's not the GM.

I disagree, the 07/08 roster had much better balance and significantly better depth and toughness. The potential of the players now might match the skill back then, but they don't have the support that allows them to play freely.

I don't think folks realize how much "power" Adams and the Meatball have with this organization. |

No but I would have traded both that pick and the 2nd we got in a deal for Chiquorin the Licorice man. |
