I think the development staff has been mostly solid. Quinn and Peterka came up at the right time. Rosen and Kulich are developing well.

Levi starting on the big club was rational, but at this point it’s hard to justify not sending him down.

Also tough to sit here and say that Kulich or Rosen don’t deserve their respective spins in the NHL.

5v5 Game Charts

- Sabres came out hot and then put it into cruise control and almost pulled it off by doing so.

- Not a great night from Dahlin/Samuelsson and Ryan Johnson falls victim to limited 5v5 minutes. Good stuff.

- Peterka and Benson were good.

I think Levi is the goalie of the future, no doubt in my mind.

I’ve also admittedly not been the biggest UPL fan, bur he’s put together two good starts in a row, and should have been given an opportunity tonight to run with it.

People can talk about leadership with 21, 28 as well as 6…. Get it and it’s a joke, but the true joke is our head coach. I’m not sure if he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else or maybe he really is this bad? His decision making is getting to the point of being comical. Send Levi to Rochester and play him as often as possible. Benson is a top six guy, R.Johnson is certainly one of our best 4 defenseman… Peterka doesn’t get the opportunities in crunch time. Granato is making Ron Rolston look like Scotty Bowman.

I don't have a big issue with it, but it's time to make a change. No issue with Kulich + Rosen starting in Roch, but plan should have been half a season. They earned and need NHL time this season. More or less the same with Johnson, but a bigger question coming in a bit older, but no pro time.

They should have got a goalie this summer and started Levi in Roch. They didn't and handed him the #1 job. Time to reasses. He's been the clear #3.

. Granato is making Ron Rolston look like Scotty Bowman.

Don Granato wasn't ready to reveal a decision after the OT loss: "That’s a great question ... and it’s not one for right now."

I don't have a big issue with it, but it's time to make a change. No issue with Kulich + Rosen starting in Roch, but plan should have been half a season. They earned and need NHL time this season. More or less the same with Johnson, but a bigger question coming in a bit older, but no pro time.

They should have got a goalie this summer and started Levi in Roch. They didn't and handed him the #1 job. Time to reasses. He's been the clear #3.

So we’re at Thanksgiving. Adams and Granato are at a pivotal point of making decision:

- Benson stay or go?
- Levi stay or demoted?
- Admit Ryan Johnson is better than the 2 free agents you signed?
- Admit 28/21 lost steps and are holding back from icing their best lineup?
- Do they think Pat Kane is solving their problems at forward?
- When are Kulich and Rosen going to get a chance to see if they can help like Benson and Johnson have?

Small sample size, but Comrie/UPL have been more than ok.

Big grain of salt as there are 63 games left but goaltending hasn’t been an issue outside of Levi.

Adams’ long game has been nearly perfect and what has led me to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But if he doesn’t start making the right decisions now to spur positive change in the present, he will go the way of Botterill, and won’t be here to see his good decisions bear fruit.
