Rangers traded away 2 long-term captains in recent times, its always possible. Ive been a fan of Jenner’s for several years and when he was on his expiring contract few years ago I really wanted us to make a trade for him. - aecliptic
That would be a nice 3rd line with him Cuylle and Kakko |

I really don't think that Columbus would pay half the cap hit on a trade for the next 3 years on Patrick Laine to a team in their own division
4.3 mil is a lot to pay for a guy that you don't have, maybe if he had only this year left, but two more years, I don't see it
I don't think any team in the league is retaining that much money |

Jenner is the kind of guy that could potentially help Kakko find his game. Sometimes you have to play with a couple different guys who are good at what they do to have that “ah-ha” moment. |

Yeah, doubling down doesn't make you correct.
I love your enthusiasm. I just don't agree that they are going to make a huge shake up while we are enjoying the most success we've had since they sent out "The Letter." |

If JD is a Ranger at his core and wants to apologize to us, Ill happily take Fantilli and Marchenko as compensation. |

If you told me this team would be 4-0-1 without Fox and Chytil, I wouldn't have believed you. Credit to most of the players and especially Laviolette. Just amazing what any kind of decent coaching can do.
On the down side, I'm officially done with Kaapo Kakko. He can go and it wouldn't bother me. |

Kakko has just got no hockey sense, zero brain for the game, combine that with poor hands

There were two instance in that game he had the puck on his stick where he got the devils blue line and just fluttered a soft back hand pass.
Both resulted in turnovers. The first one I was livid because he turned a 4 on 2 for into a 3 on 2 against.
I'm tired of him. No reason why Will Cuylle should look better than Kakko after Cuylle has like 21 NHL games under his belt. |

Agreed... I almost want the team to sit him and call up Othman. Maybe that will light a fire under Kakkos butt. |

really curious is there's something off ice that's become a problem. no idea how he's gotten so bad. feel like everyone on here was expecting him to explode over laf this season and it's been horrendous |

Othmann may not be the call up
I think Brett Berard has played better

Legit regressing beyond comprehension. And as much as I love blame the coaches, can't do that with Lavy. He gave him a month on L1. Nothing. Lavy continues to send him regularly on line 3 and 2nd PP unit, still nothing. He's done. Cut bait and trade him. |

If chytil is indeed out long long term, I think Tommy Novak from NSH is a good target. His contract is the same as wheelers. Jones and a 3rd or something like that should do it. |

I don’t think they’re good enough to win it all just yet. We have weaknesses
Kravtsov (sorry to bring him up lol) and Kakko we’re being counted on for right now. One is gone forever and the other just plain sucks. So they’re in a spot where they need to do something at RW imo, this year. They’re too good not to go all in this year.

Wouldn't that return be a little low for a guy who's on pace for 70pts over a full season? |

Which is insane that we all see something. It's easy to critique from the couch, I get it. But he looks terrible and looks like he's getting worse.
In that game where Jack Hughes has multiple points, you love to see Kakko answer back with something, anything. |
