He's just trying to get a rise. His latest hot take is that he's not sure if York is going to make it in the NHL. Other gems are he doesn't see Farabee as a top 6 NHL forward. With his 14 points in 18 games.
- MJL

Hurray, you finally get me! And wouldn't you know it, as soon as I say that about Farabee he has a good game today. I also have to give some props to Sanheim, he played well also this weekend.

Absolutely. It’s because he’s not that flashy. Lots of small plays all game long where he’s in proper position and makes the right play. Both on o and d. It adds up over a game and several games and stabilizes the play. I think that has been a big part of the good start.
- Hextall271

Soke people still can't stop viewing him as 3C Seanie. I don't remember who coined that nickname for him but some just can't let it go and accept his elite hockey IQ and skill.
If not for a bout of mono he could have been a first overall pick

I finally get you?

That's just your latest nonsense.

Farabee and Sanheim have been playing well all season.

I'll just repost what Feanor said the other day in response to your post.

"I still don't see Farabee as a top 6 forward, He has improved over last season, but at this point I think he is what he is, good player, probably best suited for the 3rd line role."
-jd250

"Farabee leads the team with 12 ES points. Sanheim is second with 11, tied with Tippett.

Your are so bad at evaluating NHL players, it's comical"

The Flyers are playing a strong cohesive team game and Tortorella deserves credit for that. The biggest reason for the improvement though is getting Couturier and Atkinson back. Farabee getting healthy and back to where he was heading. Konecny of course continuing his growth as a player. Sanheim stepping up and some improve depth with the additions of players like Brink and Walker. It's a shame Tortorella keeps feeling the need to jerk players around.
- MJL

A backhanded compliment but at least a compliment. Torts is not jerking Frost around. I wish Frost was playing also, but in the end Torts just does not like the way Frost plays. I'm speculating here but Torts often mentions the phrase "good stick on pucks". Perhaps Torts views Frost as a skill guy but maybe does not play hard enough for his liking. Whatever the reason, I just want Frost in the lineup so he can get himself going and build up his trade value. Then he can move on and hopefully carve out a nice career for himself, and in turn the Flyers can get back a good asset.

Bobby Orr couldn't turn that team around currently. What are you talking about? Provorov played a strong game.
- MJL

hey ..don't you be talking about Orr like that! That guy could win games 1 on 5!! That man is a hockey God and don't you forget it!

What I meant by this comment was that Provorov has gone from the frying pan and into the fire; he is used to long losing streaks. I actually feel bad for him, he has not been part of a true winning team in his entire career.

Omg. That’s a good one. He’s a 1c or a 2c on a very good team. He’s got a selke and that’s no small feat despite what some say. He won that award for a reason and we’re seeing his value to the squad right now. Not flashy but is a huge cog in why we’re winning right now. He’s scored a bit but the easiest goal to score is one you prevent.

Getting both coots and cam back was going to give this team a boost and it has.
Coots isn't even 100% coots yet ans he's STILL making an impact. And he has seemed hurt lately, which worried me about his health.
It's really hard to see this team getting a top 10 pick this year if he stays healthy and keeps playijg this way. Thats how big of a boost he is to this team. Ol 3C Seanie

Agreed. Some people can’t appreciate the small details of the game and how important he is to the team. If they stay healthy and hart keeps this up you’re correct, no top 10 pick. They’ll miss the playoffs and pick like 15 or something.

Couturier was outstanding against Vegas and pretty good tonight. He's not hurt. Just getting back into full game shape and getting his timing back. He missed a lot of hockey.

Are you really gonna go there? I look at the standings and I see those Flyguys in SECOND place! The Devils have to win those games for them to matter.
- Phillywhiteout

Yes, that’s how it works. There is nuance to their position in the standings.

Torts sits him when the play a terrible team, hoping it will rationalize his position that they don’t need Frost, Torts is an egomaniac

Torts team has an identity, while you see CBJ has none, that does matter.

He means that Provorov has a lot of experience with long losing streaks. It was humor.

With vets coming back Torts will show himself, I hope he put his Ego aside and makes the right calls. But I’m back where I was with the Sharks game, it would serve Torts right if the Flyers lost, hate even thinking it but he deserves it
- wcorvette

Torts has the Flyers playing so well that they are currently 2nd in the Metro and you are so upset at him that you want the flyers to lose.

Take a break and reflect on that a bit

Sorry, I don't think you are close on this one. Again, just a speculation, but I think Torts looks at Frost's game and thinks to himself, yeah, this kid has talent, vision and skill, but will his game translate to the playoffs where the intensity is ratcheted up 100% and the space on the ice is limited? I don' the answer because, alas, Frost has not played an NHL playoff game, but I can see this being a factor. Not saying it is, just saying I can see that it might be.

Tortorella all but confirmed in a recent press conference that rebuilding is not the Flyers priority. Winning is. He stated he owes that to the players in the room.
- MJL

It is not up tp Torts on how the rebuild goes, he cannot sit top layers or make Hart the backup.

It is all up to DB, if he wants to trade away all the good players like Chicago did then he should.

As usual, you hear what you want to hear. That is NOT what Torts said, you are being disingenuous here! Unless you want us to add "fountain of misinformation" to your list of titles? Torts said he has to BALANCE the rebuild with winning, because as not just Torts has mentioned recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFADcfQHVpI, a rebuild fails when you have a culture or standard that accepts losing. No matter what the lineup is, a team has to have the attitude that they have to win every single game and every single shift in every single game! What does it matter if you have McDavid and Draisaitl if you have a culture that losing is acceptable! You honestly do not know what you are talking about!
