If a player is a finesse type of scorer like Frost is. You had better score at a very high level if you want to stay in the lineup with Tortorella. Tortorella wants a team full of grinders and checkers with just enough offense sprinkled in. That is always the type of team that he prefers. He may get you to the playoffs but he will never lead you to a Stanley Cup. The sooner they get rid of this guy the better.

As soon as you get labeled as a "Selke" player, the spotlight is on you. A few defensive mishaps and it's magnified. Especially when not producing offensively. Which is not surprising since he is not centering a top line anymore like last year. The signs of his offensive issues at center were there last year.

It's a much smaller sample size but Cates scored at a much higher rate playing wing than center. I personally think it's a waste if he is going to play center to have him on the 4th line.

I like spontaneous fights that come out of the heat of the battle. A fight where two goons skating up ice just decide to fight for no other reason then they're fighters. Interrupting the flow of the game. Is just stupid in my opinion.
