It’s ugly some times but all Hurts seems to do is win. - landros 2
Yes indeed! I had friends texting "Eagles and Hurts suck" at the end of the 1st half. It wasn't pretty but we found a way to win and that's what matters.

Keeping the 1st round bye and home field advantage. Detroit is only 1 game behind them.
MVS dropping the wide open game winning TD pass for the Chiefs is going to haunt him for the rest of the year. The easiest TD catch of his career that didn't happen. Glad they won but lots to clean up to get to where they want to go. |

It's pretty easy to see that there are no great teams in the league this year. Anything can happen in the playoff in just one game but the Eagles remain the best team in football.

I don't recall that. I do recall some thinking it was dumb the way the team devalued a guy who made the all star team to the point where they could barely give him away. - MBFlyerfan
I think his contract and the player he is had more to do with it. If others valued him there would've been more deals available. fact is his career year so far was just over 50 points and was making over 7 mil through 2026. sure torts comments may not have helped sell him, but the league knows what he is at this time. his contract was the biggest deterrent. He also did no favors by coasting through games after being demoted.

What impressed me is they stopped the run and Mahomes often had to go to 3rd/4rth reads.
Brian Johnston remains a terrible play caller. - PT21
Pretty tough to evaluate the play caller when the offensive line in pass protection played as poorly as it did for most of the game. Not having a legit TE option for the Chiefs to be concerned about. Made it much easier for them to put in the pressure packages that they ran.

After our game last night, the boys asked about the Eagles, pretty much said the same thing. |

He calls the plays. In the first half they were not ready to play without a TE. Most of the sacks happened when they lined up without a TE in the first half. They adjusted to that nicely in the second half. So kudos to Johnson for adjusting in the second half for the most part.
I still think he gets in playcalling ruts that can last a drive or two. The talent on the offense bails him out a lot. Hopefully games 18-20 are his best called games.

There are things I do not like about Torts….the number one thing is some of personal decisions for the lineup. I’ve been a fan of Frost and think it’s a mistake. But I love that Foerster, Brink and Zamula all seem to look ready and are responding this year. I think Torts and his coaching staff deserve some credit.
I like that the team seems more cohesive and more engaged….I do think the subtraction of certain guys has helped. It’s a mixed bag, but I like the results I’m watching. - landros 2
This is exactly how I feel, but I won't believe a word that Torts says anymore. He definitely has his pros and cons, as do most coaches, bit as you said his personal bias against personnel has got to go.
He already got rid of the cancers in the room this past summer but I wonder why he targets frost so much. I'm a big fan of frosty |

That may have been the worst i've seen the Eagles offensive line play in a very long time and they were healthy. I'm going to chalk it up to the weather and the lay off unless it happens again but that was crazy how quickly the line was getting beat.

Gonna find out a lot about the Flyers in the next couple of weeks! Their schedule is as follows...Isles, Rags, Isles, Canes, Devils, Penswhines and Penswhines! All Metro foes and we shall see if they are up for the challenge!
Eagles continue living a charmed life, but you don't win chips in November last time I checked. Could they have caught anymore breaks in one single football game starting with the missed blatant holding call on their first TD? WTF! A 6-4 team disguised as a 9-1 team. |

You just can't help yourself. You despise any Philly team other than the Flyers. It galls you that the Eagles are the best team in the NFL - MJL Despise is a strong word. I don't like the Eagles, and I'm indifferent to the Phillies and Sixers. My main interest in the NFL these days is betting and making some mula! The league is pretty bad. I mean, the Eagles very well might be the worst 9-1 team in league history. Color me unimpressed. It's only November, so lots of time for them to be exposed or just flat out fall on their collective faces. The reality is that I had mixed feelings about last night's game. I like Mahomes, but I'm sick and tired of hearing about friggin Kelce and Swift! I almost wanted to root for the Eagles, but nah! |

oilers need to throw future away and try to right the ship. What other options they have? trade the big 2? They do not have a good GM however to navigate through it. |

if we as fans can see it, to think we are somehow going to fool nhl GMs and scouts just isn’t realistic. |

bottom line is the coach/co-GM1 wanted him gone from day 1. He really didn't want to make it work.
since the flyers are rebuilding and all I would have held onto him 1 more year |

and that would've been fine. no need to make a deal just for the sake of making a deal. but with that said, guessing they saw him as more of a detriment to the team.

They just beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead in the rain. Even playing field as both teams are coming off the bye. A game where they gave up 5 sacks. Tell me exactly how they're living a 'charmed life'? Good teams find ways to win. The Eagles continue to do that.
Championships aren't won in November, sure. But playoff seeding and home field advantage is at stake. Especially when the teams below them keep winning. Chiefs are now 7-3 and will be in a real dogfight for the bye and even home field. |

Guys that have actually played hockey understand full well what ND means to the team and the dressing room. Those who haven’t probably will never get it. - landros 2
Plenty of better teams than the Flyers aren't dragging a useless goon around on the 4th line. So do the guys who play hockey on those teams not understand it, either?
Nic D doesn't even kill penalties anymore, and at ES he's been outscored 35-20 as a Flyer. |
