I don’t wanna give up assets for a#5 D. He’s more than big skates pretty well & can shoot it. Rather an offseason UFA signing if a good contract & don’t resign Cole on a cheaper deal. I like to go after Pesce #1 or Pinto as a 3C. Just don’t see it being easy to pull off.

There are many good prospects I like but the timing isn’t good.

I will add Makita to this response also seeing he comments on the trade also.

Every game I have seen him play he looks very decent to me. I don't watch every CGY game but he looks like a big upgrade to me.

I would hope he is a bottom pairing playing a few less minutes but not a big gap between the top pairing and bottom minutes. Something along the lines of 23 20 17 for minutes.

I think the Canucks are tougher than years past but still don't have the one guy that can make the team play bigger. Overall team toughness is a lot better these days.

I believe a line up for the next four years of Hronek Hughes Schneider Soucy Zadarov Willander would be a very solid lineup.

Abby outshoots CGY 42 to 26 but still lose 3 to 1.

His 14 goal last year were better than any Canuck defender, hits like a truck, sticks up for his teammates. His big hits have are momentum changing, In fact his Canuck teammate’s would probably shame him for playing too rough. Agree he’s not a top 4 but able to play up there if given the chance. Flames would be nuts to trade him within the division and take a chance of having to play him in the playoffs
Toronto is stupid enough to overpay for him, but at the very least he’s headed to the eastern conference.
