Completely, why do they need a 5 million dollar third line center or winger? It working so well for them, right? LOL!! They have two of the best centers in the league and two good wingers in Hyman and Kane. Outside of Ekholm and Nurse their defense is not very good and their goaltending is average or below average, so yeah, when all things considered, RNH is a waste of cap space for them.

Cap allocation is so important that when too much gets tied up on forwards it hamstrings the roster build. One big reason why I think Petey doesn’t get 12m. Yes he’ll get paid. Already spend 5.5m on Kuz 4.95m on Garland & 4m on Beauvillier. That will change bet on it lol

It's literally no different than the past few years of the Canucks, you can score as much as you want but if you can't keep the puck out of your own net, team is going to be poop. You think their biggest waste of cap space is the only forward who can play defence.

Having layers of elc’s going forward is going to be a huge challenge.

Which is an issue, right. Lots of teams have wasted cap space, Edmonton is just another one of them. There's so many holes in their lineup, almost zero depth in the bottom six, no goaltending and their 2nd-3rd-4th pairing defense is awful at defending.

That's exactly their issue, cap space not spent on the right things (RNH), which is why they are losing so much if their top guys don't carry them. They need guys who can defend, not one guy, four of them, and, they need to improve their goaltending.

It's not just that, they are poorly coached or their leaders won't buy into playing the right way. As I said, they have a lot of issues, the RNH & Nurse salary waste is just two of them. 14 million spent the right way goes a long ways.

You aren't getting 2 - 2.5M forwards that are going to provide the same results as RNH does. You can get 2 - 5M forwards that do the same as Drais.

Didn’t realize becoming a stepfather is unacceptable conduct in the NHL..

Lekkerimaki today been pretty meh, lost quite a few board battles. Slow moving the puck. Very kuzmenko type of game today.

Hopefully Lucas Forsell can sign somewhere else next season. Gets the Podkolzin treatment.
