Do you know what hearsay is? Unless you're willing to link to and divulge who the 20 year head coach is. It has zero credibility. Along with Bill's reply that shows that you have zero credibility. Which is already known.

Here is the bottom line. Whenever Frost is not screwed with and played in the proper role to succeed. He produces. When he isn't and is screwed with by both Yeo and Tortorella, twice now, his play suffers. An obvious reality that you have argued against in the face of overwhelming evidence for years and continue to argue against. Tortorella has twice now deliberately and without justification set Frost back. He was able to overcome it last season. Which if Couturier was healthy, wouldn't have happened. He can't overcome it if he isn't playing.

Just listen to the Jason's podcast .. the man has an opinion and stated it in a DM, and Jason agreed with him. Does this have to be explained to you also?? The reality is there are many out there that are fine with Frost sitting, you just need to come to grips with it. You were taking victory laps on Frost a month ago and I told you that I wouldn't celebrate just yet ... and here you are now, a sad apologist for a mediocre player that can't stick in a bubble team's lineup.

Actually, Jason generally agrees with me regarding Frost. We speak 4-5 times a week in addition to recording the Mondays with Meltzer edition of the podcast.

I know Bill, I listen to Jason's pod every day, along with several other Flyers pods, and I look forward to hearing you on Monday's with him. I suggest you listen to his 11/22 podcast and then I would love to hear you both debate this on next Monday's edition.

is that more on the player or the coach?

It is 100% clear Frost should be in the lineup every game getting good minutes with quality players. This is coming from someone who isnt even a frost fan.The coach is 100% wrong.

Why do you consistently read something into it that is not there? I want what I said. I want the team to prioritize rebuilding over winning. How do you read that I want them to tank into that?
For some reason you think that learning how to win means older players with no future play more than younger players and that is going to teach them how to win.

- MJL

how do you rebuild without "tanking" to an extent?

If the Flyers played their younger players when they are not ready, the Flyers would be with Columbus right now. I don't want that. I don't want to be Columbus, or Buffalo. I want a hockey season, and thus I want the Flyers to play their best players and try to win as many games as they can. It's up to the younger players to become the Flyers best players and displace the veterans on the team; make them expendable so they are traded at the deadline or the off-season. Right now, Zamula is not playing well enough to displace anyone. York has his moments but overall has been a disappointment so far this season. Brink is on his way to solidifying his place in the lineup. Foerster and Cates need to make more of an impact than they have so far. This is where they are right now, but there is still plenty of season left to play.

I think Frost should be playing so he can build up his trade value and the Flyers can get something in return for him. If I were Briere, I would make it clear to Torts that we have to think big picture here, we can't get anything for Frost if he is sitting in the press box. So from this perspective, I agree that Torts is 100% wrong to sit Frost.

he should be playing because he is one of their better players. Simple as that.

Torts lost that game. never change you lineup during a 5 game winning streak. He needs to practice what he preaches....

What did you think of the coaching with the goalie pulled?

The stupidity of you thinking that what the many out there think and the hearsay of that matters. Is not at all surprising to me. The stupidity of thinking that the irrational decisions of an archaic coach with a history of bad decisions with skilled and talented players is an indictment on the player is not a surprise to me. That you think a player who led his team in ES scoring for a full NHL season and total scoring for 2/3rds of an NHL season is an mediocre player, is an indication of what you have to come to grips with. That you don't have a clue about this sport and the only thing you can do. Is be a puppet who is easily manipulated by Tortorella and anything else you hear in the media. Incapable of assessing anything in the sport correctly or on your own. You continue to argue when you've been consistently wrong about everything. Against a guy who has been consistently right. Also, that it is impossible to explain anything to you and have a complete inability to learn. Come to grips with that!

Who has suggested playing young players that aren't ready? We'll start there. Then move onto the rest of what you're wrong about.

as does the coach, which as we all know ( except you) isnt rebuilding.

Zamula should be in the top 6. Not hard to figure out why for 99%.

You always mention buffalo. Do you know why buffalo has failed?

Ok, but in the end Frost is not better than Laughton and Poehling, and that is why he is sitting. Look, I agree with you about Deslauriers sitting, but that is not happening with Torts, unless Deslauriers gets hurt. Torts just loves him too much. So my point with Frost is really simple, be better than Poehling and Laughton and you will be in the lineup!
- jd250

Not true at all. Poehling is a border line 4th liner, and Laughton is not playing well, and at best should be on the 3rd line. Frost is top 6, you have said that yourself in agreement with Torts.
