I know you're being sarcastic but there wasn't anyone who actually bought that, is there?

Bill, the Morgan Frost situation is a polarizing one for sure. For example, just today Russ Cohen agrees with you and mentioned that Frost is being held to a different standard than the rest of the players. While Jason Myrtetus today read a DM from a 20 year head coach who stated he thought Frost was just invisible far too often, and Jason agreed with him, as do I. Where I differ from you is I believe the Flyers can still be rebuilding and also sit Morgan Frost if Torts thinks he has better options available to him. I personally would want Frost in the lineup so he can be traded and sitting obviously hurts his trade value, because in the end I don't believe Frost is part of the future of this team.
- jd250

Do you know what hearsay is? Unless you're willing to link to and divulge who the 20 year head coach is. It has zero credibility. Along with Bill's reply that shows that you have zero credibility. Which is already known.

Here is the bottom line. Whenever Frost is not screwed with and played in the proper role to succeed. He produces. When he isn't and is screwed with by both Yeo and Tortorella, twice now, his play suffers. An obvious reality that you have argued against in the face of overwhelming evidence for years and continue to argue against. Tortorella has twice now deliberately and without justification set Frost back. He was able to overcome it last season. Which if Couturier was healthy, wouldn't have happened. He can't overcome it if he isn't playing.

How is ND a better option than Frost for a team trying to win? And no, Frost wouldn't need to play on the fourth line.

Are the other players invisible at times or just frost? Cates has been horrible, Laughton an extremely sub par season, Tippett started incredibly slow, so you think all these players have clearly been better than frost?
- ClaudeFather

Yea, last season Frost outscored all of them over 2/3 rds of the season after getting moved off of the 4th line but he's invisible too much.

Haha .. I was under the assumption that everyone knew that... I hope that the poor gram gram who operates a dog kennel somewhere isn't too confused by the emails to someone named Torts!
- Hextall271

I thought everyone would know it was a joke, too, with the aol email address. Maybe some people on here are too young to remember aol?

Torts is just that ancient, where he might still have an aol account.

listening to the Ramones live at the Rainbow 1977. Just a flat out great live band.

Love the Ramones. I saw them live a few times in the 80s.

He doesn't have a relative connected to the team. I smelled out that BS on day 1. Reinforced by his posting which obviously didn't have any insight or hint of inside information.

I think with Torts treatment of the player it’s pretty clear he does not see him as a part going forward. I agree with Bill on this point. I’m not sure sitting Frost is in teams stated mandate of a “rebuild”, unless a younger guy in Frost is not seen as a piece going forward. For what ever reason Torts, DB or Jonesy have is not something that’s apparent by the players play/results one ice..as well there is no accounts of a poor attitude issue. As a fan I’m disappointed and I think the players treatment is a mistake….but when you win those aren’t question they will have to answer.

He used his 'connection' to tell everyone that Felix Sandstrom was the goalie that was going to be traded in the offseason. Last i checked, he's still here. BS from the start is right. Also made that one comment 'Hey Bill tell dad I said hello'. Now Bill is on here roasting him

There’s no way the second line is better with Laughton over Frost at center. Laughton is a 3rd line winger or 4th line center and a PKer. Torts has him on PK and PP and he is not producing. Atkinson had a hot start and now has become his own worst enemy with horrible decisions. I’m not the coach, but I can see special treatment.

There is/was someone on this board who was closely related to someone in Flyers management (not sure if he's still here but haven't seen him around in a long time). He never -- not once, not ever -- mentioned online who he was or tried to pump his own tires or connections in any way.

That's the way it usually is where's someone legit who stops by.

Actually, Jason generally agrees with me regarding Frost. We speak 4-5 times a week in addition to recording the Mondays with Meltzer edition of the podcast.
- bmeltzer

I don't dispute that but listen to Jason's podcast from today, I was surprised he agreed with the DM.

Watching that LHV game last night, man the pace seemed so slow. Slower than usual. Now I didn't watch the whole game mind you. It was rather boring.
- hello it's me 2050

I thought the same thing......
1. They have no hand-eye coordination
2. Most of them can't skate well. They were running into each other all night
3. They are especially bad at defending 1 v 1 (sometimes 1 v 2)
4. Other than the fist line they have no concept of passing

Then again are the above a function of their skills or the horrible coaching and game planning they receive. They had 2 delay of game penalties because I believe they are told to just dump the puck out off the boards.

Are you really going to implode because Marc Staal is playing a game?

Stall is not just playing a game. He is playing a game badly and getting ready to pay the next 70 games....
