Frederic was holding Trouba’s stick from the first shift in the Bruins corner until Trouba finally had enough and whacked him. That would have never happened had the incompetent officials called him for it once. - Downeaster
Reckless, but warranted. Frederic was after Trouba the whole game holding him and his stick trying to keep him out of the play with impunity. The Bruins “play that way” so the officials overlook it. I’m sure Trouba did not want to whack him in the head, it just got away from him.
Been lurking for quite a while. I’m out in Indianapolis visiting my son, his wife and our 3 grandkids. Got to see the 2 boys play some hockey for the South Side Sharks 8-10 years and 10 -12 years traveling teams.
Was happy to get the Penguins and Flyers on my son’s big screen ESPN+ channel and the Bruins on MSG+ on my IPAD.
Coming home tomorrow but won’t be able to make my bar stool seat for the Buffalo game as it’s almost a 700 mile ride back to Northwest New Jersey. Been a season ticket holder with my brother for 23 years. Hoping this year is special…….

For the Brukman:
May be the last few days to do it, do we trade Kakko and sign Kane for 2.2 million bucks? 😱
Discuss… - Slimtj100
Ugh getting harder and harder to defend KK. I just dont like the idea of giving up on him just yet. We are winning so there is no need to panic or ship him off. I beginning to think that CK20 and Zib should be separated. They generate very little 5v5.
As for Kane, If he is healthy, fully recovered and can play at 100 percent, then I dont have a problem with signing him. Its like getting a 1st/2nd line winger and not giving anything up for him. |

My point was there’s no conversation to be had with the people saying it’s intentional.
It’s the acknowledging it was not his intent to hit his face and at the same time saying it was reckless. Reckless poop happens every game. Are we going to call out every time a player slashes another on the legs, back, etc?
It’s silly to care about but I’m annoying like that - picklerick
Agreed Trouba was reckless and you are responsible for your stick, you get 4 minutes for drawing blood even if it is accidental. There was head contact also. I cant believe he didnt get a game or 2. Im assuming the NHL considered that he was holding the stick which resulted in Trouba yanking it hard away from him and the follow thru hitting him in the head. Then again it goes back to being responsible for your stick.
Dont understand the NHL reasoning though. Finally a call for us though!! |

I can't believe how the entire hockey world is overreacting to this Trouba thing, good God
I remember when the same people were calling us a bunch of p u s s i e s after the Tom Wilson incident a few years ago though
they aren't doing that anymore |

Watching him skate and of course a medical visit would help im sure. Just watching him skate last year you could tell he wasnt 100 percent.
No way of knowing how he can stand up to NHL hockey though. Its a risk but for the right price, might be worth it on a one year "Show me" deal. 2.2 sounds reasonable. |

It's because Trouba is basically Matt Cooke or Raffi Torres at this point. |

Kreider and Zib are starting to play a lot better now. Wheeler has been good there and they are getting the all important chemistry going.
Kakko idk, he’s an enigma. I don’t know what to say anymore. I expected way more this year and this is the worst he’s looked his whole career. I’d like to see him with Cuylle and Chytil but who knows when Chytil is coming back
It’s a tough spot for Drury…not sure Drury is comfortable giving him another contract above the current one, 2.1 I think it is, but at the same time you don’t want to give up on him like you said |

there needs to be a rule
you have to actually notice something happen during a game to lose your mind over it |

Guy on my men's league team couldn't wait to talk poop last night. Comes in and says Trouba is a big piece of sh!t. Being that he is a Penguins fan I promptly show him this video. He shut up real quick.

Kakko isn't a scoring but also isn't a liability. Drury might not be worrying at all right now. He has a winger that is underperforming right into RFA status. |
