No, he wasn't. He played a very injured Ryan Strome, who needed hip surgery. Why are we doing revisionist history of GG? - blacksheep1
U need a course in reading comprehension - that was not the point.

You have to figure they’d have shut him down for the season if they didn’t expect him back at some point. Just for the salary cap relief alone they would do it |

What’s Kakkos, and Veseys? Vesey has been amazing since he started the season as a scratch. I feel like he is a million times a better player now than he was in his first stint here. Could be maturity over anything else |

he needs a spark under his ass. Perhaps GG was right in scratching him for the final playoff game 2 years ago. - Greschnergy#4
A player very injured, needing hip surgery is never the right decision. Thank you... |

There is nothing funny about Kakko, he’s pure irritation for me
I can’t get excited by how good defensively he is anymore. Do they have a chart for players being allergic to the front of the net? - Slimtj100
Yeah, his. |

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Right now, Chytil isn’t ready, talk of changing the lineup is just talk until he or Othmann are ready. When that happens, which is likely at least a week if not more away for Chytil, then we can argue who should be scratched. |

This is meant to be funny (please take it that way)
But this is Kakko, the Giant Himalayan Lilly (slowest blooming flower on earth)
The Himalayas in general seem to have a magical quality, and the giant Himalayan lily (Cardiocrinum giganteum) that makes its home there is no exception. For most of its life, it exists as an unassuming clump of glossy leaves, but after five to seven years, it mysteriously sprouts up to three meters (9.8 feet) and produces a gift of delicate, trumpet-shaped flowers. It is the largest of all types of lilies and grows naturally in high elevations from northern India to Japan. However, explorers discovered the flower in the mid-1800s, and ever since, long-suffering gardeners have had success growing this plant in a variety of climates. |

The post is trash, but Mollie does do a good job. Can't fault her.
She was the first to ask GG directly if he was worried about his job security and he scoffed at her. Turns out, she was right. |

By your post you are suggesting KK is this Himalayan Lily and this Lily takes 5 to 7 years to sprout but once it does, watch out!!!
KK is in year 5, so he might just bust out in year 6 or 7. Doesnt it pay to wait another year or so to see if he does???
What is the rush on trading him anyway? We arent getting full value for him if we do.

His stats are cringe worthy. I get it, wait wait wait for him, but the patience with him is very tough to deal with now. Cmon already Kaapo
If he wasn’t a 2OA guy I’d accept it more I guess. I just don’t think he’s very good and it won’t change. If he didn’t regress as poorly as he is I wouldn’t be as concerned. This is BY FAR his worst season. That doesn’t concern you, but it sure concerns me |

i think we're all concerned lol. But as you pointed out, he's never looked this bad, so maybe he will return back to what he has been the last few seasons at some point. No point selling low as Brukie stated, especially since we are winning. Also, as someone else mentioned this might be better from a cap standpoint if the plan is to resign him after this season. All we can hope for is that he turns it around as i'm not sure if the team is intending on trading him this early in the season. |

Agreed, Doubt the Rangers want two rookies on that line in Othmann or Bedard along with Cuylle. |

At this point he won’t live up to the 2OA draft spot but if he can continue to be a reliable 2 way player with good puck control skills, I don’t mind having him cheap on the 3rd line going forward |

I’m doing my part I killed Chytil and then he went off. Method to the madness it hasn’t worked yet tho lol
I do think it has benefits with the cap, but I think he’s the weak link where if we’re looking for a cup run we need someone better in the lineup..hence why I’d trade him. I do think Drury would trade him this year tho, in the right deal. TDL kind of deal
I also see the future at wing with: othmann Cuylle laf and Perrault as staples there where they may not even miss him. Thats 4 guys in the top 6 you’d hope (meaning post Kreider / Panarin eras) |

Today- I just dont think he is playing better than any forward on the roster and should be a healthy scratch unless between now and Fil's return, he A) turns it around or B) there is another injury

Chytil was just snake bitten. He was getting scoring chances before his breakout season last year. Kakko doesn't get the chances. |
