point i was trying to make was less so about buffalo going out and finding useful free agents (with extremely limited success) and more so about "they signed {a name or two} and now they're going to lap us, best offseason ever!!

Free agents are fine but usually, usually, they're underwhelming.

A team's drafted core and their respective development is by far the most important factor to 'being good'. Also coaching but that's a different topic I'm sure we'll keep slamming the button on.

Think over the off-season we were hoping to get someone who could atleast give us League Average Save Percentage. Even if UPL falters a bit, I think we all would be pretty Happy if he can keep his Save Percentage above .908%. Imagine if they actually played better in front of him.
