I haven't watched enough games yet this year to really have an opinion on anything, but I don't mind this team struggling a bit.
Kind of hope they have to fight their way into the playoffs, build some character, vs. cruising in and poopting the bed like they do all of the time. |

Yeah looking at the Panthers in January they were not even in the playoffs.
I just hope this Klingberg poop doesn't drag on.
And I will say it again, until Kane likely sign elsewhere I am hoping the Leafs sign him. Gives Leafs options to move Robertson for D help and slide Knies down some games off the top line so he doesn't have to be the best player on his line going up against top comp. |

I'd like to see how his hip is first before sticking him on the 1st line.
3rd line with domi as his center. |

Unless Kane is signing for league minimum to play on a contender, I don't want him if it means moving cheap scoring out, assuming we're signing Willy.

Thats fine.
Just would like more options because as great as Knies has been in his rookie season its a little frustrating its all we have in the midst of the top line struggling.
You aren't breaking up the 2nd line, Jarnkrok should never touch that line and Robbie is good for sheltered 3rd line mins but is no where near ready to play there.
I personally think there's a good fit here, it sounds like insiders are talking out of there ass as Friedman keeps saying no one actually knows where he is going, they just know the teams that are interested. |

Leafs need help on D.
If the Leafs can land Kane reasonably then there is options to move Robertson for help on D which is desperately needed. |

Who is Klingberg?
I'm a huge Leafs fan, I don't recall ever having a guy on our roster named Klingberg.
Are you thinking of Kaberle?
No Klingberg here.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have $4.125M of cap space to spend. |

The Leafs will need contracts like Robertson if they resign Nylander and Marner. |

have to give to get.
I just won't agree with you here that Robertson is untouchable because he "might" provide some value in scoring for his cap hit. I like him but at the end of the day he still hasn't showed he is anything more than a 3rd line scoring forward.
I keep Cowen, Minten all day over him. Who will provide better cap hits for longer. |

With Klingwrap on LTIR, and Lillybusted back in, I think we have 3.5M or something.
We should be able to move Timmins in a hockey deal and get some help that way, take on some cap from a team that needs to move a veteran out. |

4.6M right now with 20 man roster.
Benoit and/or McMann will be back up soon though and take up more.
Timmins might have more value here...I don't like just throwing him in unless another team actually values him. |

Damien Cox has a good article in the Star today, pretty much sums it up and nails it, if you ask me……..with respect to the Leafs, Keefe, MLSE, officiating, Paros, Bettman, etc. Good read. |

Matthews with Nylander and Knies.
Marner with Tavares and Bertuzzi.
I'll believe it when I see it. |

Smart.
Have Matthews drag down Nylander, so we can sign him for $8M per. |
