Because people will be upset when they find out he's just bottom pairing guy that moves the puck decently well and probably not much more. Islander fans will be shocked that a guy who another team didn't even want and we got for free isn't a star.
And I'm not knocking the move, I liked it. But he'll turn the puck over and it'll lead to a goal and people will act shocked as if we were promised something better

I do not follow a lot of other teams, but even I know not to expect much from this move. I understand Lou making the move.

You are 100% correct about this. To be fair though the positive PR he’s getting on social media pumping him up bcs he knows players, etc(I read something somewhere saying he’s really good lol) on the isles is hysterical. The fans response is even more funny. “Can’t wait to see the guy play” kind of posts setting themselves up for complete, utter, disappointment.

I just do not get it. The fact he has bounced around should be a clue.

He's just there so we don't have to trot Bolduc out there every night. He'll be better than him but that's probably about where it stops.
It was a smart move not to give up assets to fill the hole Pelech leaves so I'm fine with it as long as he doesn't turn out to be Bolduc-or-worse. And even if he does, he can go right back on waivers and head to Bridgeport if nobody claims him.

Yeah like chiefs said it’s a good move for us. We didn’t have much of a choice but people need to temper their expectations. He’s a body that’s about it.

To be fair, Islander fans are not familiar with a lot of good players.

It's not good if Bolduc cannot get the job done. He seems to have talent but lacks confidence.
Minnesota hiring John Hynes is good news. Because he's an awful coach and if they fired Lambert and hired him that would have been absolutely terrible.

I rather have Oates. He seemed to get a quick hook with the Caps.

The Islanders fan base on twitter (although I do dig a few of the memes) has to be amongst the worst in all of sports, not just hockey…which is saying something.
The Perry-Mrs. Bedard rumors are wild. Yesterday was a quiet day at work for me and, man, people were having fun with that one.
