The Eagles have been one of the healthier teams over the last couple of seasons. What are you talking about? Do those green glasses come off at night? Just looked at it...point spread is -2.5 for San Fran and money line is -145 for San Fran. Not sure what you're looking at, but I know who I'm betting on. - Phillywhiteout
I guess I need to explain to you that the discussion is about this season? They've had a bunch of injuries this season including a ton in the secondary. Missing their slot corner for most of the season.Goedert has a broken forearm. Hurts has had a bad knee all season. They were missing a starting guard for a significant amount of games. Lane Johnson, the best tackle in football missed the last game. What am I talking about? Are you that uninformed?
You should look again. the current betting line is -1.5

Where in that comment did I say "don't post that here"? I'll wait...
Another riveting NFL game tonight. It's 3-3 halfway through the third quarter, but the NFL is a great product. For every game that's like the Bills/Eagles yesterday there are 5 snooze fests just loaded with commercials for your viewing pleasure. That's the fact jack!! - Phillywhiteout
Your reply was immature, juvenile and idiotic.
The NFL is generating billions and every owner is making millions every single year. On top of the value of the franchises growing every year. You were already embarrassed with the facts of that conversation. No need to do it again.

You should look again. the current betting line is -1.5 - MJL Again, look around the league. Teams have lost their starting QBs for the season and a couple of teams have basically lost their entire offensive lines. The Eagles lose ONE offensive lineman and you think it's a reason to fold. Hurts is NOT injured. He is on the field performing, so he is not injured. Whatever the line is...the Eagles are a home dog which means if this game was being played in San Fran the Niners would be 5 point favorites. Just proving my point that the oddsmakers agree with me that they think the Niners are the better team. Only point I was trying to make. |

And I can always tell when you are cornered cause you bring out the same ole sh!t about immature, juvenile and idiotic. And yet, you say you don't name call on here. Oh yeah, and I'm embarrassing myself too. There was about 3 good games in the NFL this entire weekend. I'd rather watch a preseason NHL game in the middle of July than watch that Bears/Vikes game that is currently on. Neither team has an NFL QB participating in the game. But you do you and keep skewing the facts that are meaningless to the point that I am making about the QUALITY of the game. |

You have a serious reading comprehension issue. First of all, where did I say it's a reason to fold. It's also amazing that after listing multiple injuries, you break down to ONE player? Are you that clueless?
Read what I said. Hurts has been playing with a bad knee for most of the season. It has affected his play some.
You just posted that you understand odds now here you are posting that the odds say that the Niners are the better team. Clearly you don't understand odds.
Well that's enough fun for one night. I guess it's another night where you showed me who's boss!

- MJL There ya go again! No one is trying to show anyone who is boss. We are just giving our opinions, but you try to turn every conversation into a competition of who's right and who's wrong. Must be some insecurity issues going on there somewhere. Eh what? I clearly understand the odds. The Niners are the favored team. Projected score...Niners 24.5 and Birds 22. Not sure what else there is to say. |

does the fact that the Eagles only have 1 loss factors into the odd makers decision?

The problem with the Senators can be summed up like this:
Goalies
1 Joonas Korpisalo 3.34GAA .902SV%
2 Anton Forsberg 3.51GAA .850SV%

Nope, one team has made plays with the game on the line. The other team has not. For example, the open receiver late in the game down the field for the Bills. The QB and the receiver were not on the same page and did not execute the play. The Eagles meanwhile, executed on the drive to tie the game. The field goal kicker stepped up and made a 59 yard field goal. The Eagles then executed on the game winning drive and scored the winning TD in OT.

So tell me, why is an 8-3 team favored on the road against a 10-1 team? And these oddsmakers aren't idiots cause if they were they wouldn't make money off of these lines. Guy kicks a 59 yard FG in a driving rain. Can't make this stuff up. Hell, the Bills WR dropped a sure TD on the first series of the game (or maybe the second series....don't remember). The fact that the Eagles are 10-1 at this point in the season is a miracle akin to the American college kids beating the big bad Russians back in 1980. |

Think maybe, just maybe Eagles playing the 2nd of 3 straight opponents who will have more rest and prep time between games has an effect on the betting line?

I've explained to you in a previous post why betting odds are the way they are and what they mean. You claimed to be aware of that.
Secondly, how does the betting odds of an upcoming game, factor into the reasons for why the Eagles won previous games?
Now if I respond in a certain tone, you'll cry and whine, feign innocence and say I'm being a "meany"
Yet here you are, starting your post with "Mr. Green glasses" |
