He does not like the "type" of player Frost is. You can't see with your eyes that Frost is "trying hard" so when he doesn't produce points he isn't "trying". The term trying is the same as making "an effort" or being a "200 foot player".
- mickel25

Torts has acknowledged Frost has come a long way multiple times. Frost's effort is not the issue here. Frost has also demonstrated he is willing to take coaching and adjust his game. The issue is just what you stated, Torts just does not like the "type" of player Frost is and I don't have an issue with that. What I do have an issue with is the Flyers signed Frost for 2 more seasons. If the Flyers determine Frost is not part of their future, Frost needs to play 17 minutes a night to build up his trade value. If Frost is part of their future, Frost needs to play 17 minutes a night to develop into the offensive player they think he can be. Either way, sitting Frost (and more importantly to me, parking $1.45M this year and $2.,4M next year) is NOT an option for the welfare of this team. I have no problem with Deslauriers playing 8 or 9 minutes a night against bigger, heavier teams like Dallas, LA or St. Louis, but when the Flyers are playing teams like the Devils this week, Deslauriers should be in the press box.

You're slowly but surely transitioning your opinion on Frost. As predicted. Expecting that all of the nonsense you spewed concerning Frost over literally years will be forgotten or mysteriously disappear. It won't.

Let me get this straight. Your reply is that Tortorella is going mythically win the Jack Adams in some fantasy world that you live in, in the future? Combined with your statement that last year Tortorella was the hands down winner of the Jack Adams? You have to balls to tell me I'm embarrassing myself? Okay!

- MJL

Torts was the best coach in the league last year and will win the award this year when the Flyers make the playoffs. That's right, I at least have the balls to make big, bold predictions. But perhaps you are closer to The Miz?

Anyone else find it incredible that Torts said out loud that he needs to scratch Zamula because he might cost them games, but Deslauriers plays every single night?

Deslauriers' ES goal results are 2 for, 7 against.

Zamula's ES goal results are 16 for, 9 against.

The Flyers are back on the luck plan. Maybe that’s what the fans want though. All the media seem to be glowing about this team which makes me think their engagement numbers are up. It’s painted rust but seems to have fooled a lot of people.

So how have I changed my opinion of Frost exactly? I never questioned Frost's effort. I never questioned Frost's ability to take coaching. I never said Frost did not improve his 200 foot play. I did say Frost need to improve his 200 foot play. I did say Frost need to keep his feet moving out there. I did say Frost needed to stop being behind the play or being a perimeter player. I did say Frost needs to drive more offense and shoot more because he has a sneaky good shot. BTW, these are all things the player himself has acknowledged multiple times in interviews. So you can continue to spew lies if you want, but these opinions are well documented. However what I posted here has nothing to do with my past opinions about Frost. I still do not like the way he plays hockey and I still believe his style of play is easily shut down once the games matter more. I have NO loyalty to Frost, nor do I pledge allegiance to the twice failed GM who traded away a legitimate top 6 center, and now team captain, to obtain him. That my friend is all on you! My loyalty is to the Flyers and if they can maximize return on an asset, they need to do it.

Is that what it is, balls? Or is it something else. I'm going to go with something else. Supported by the fact that you continue to claim that Tortorella was the best coach in the league last year. Again, I'm embarrassing myself.

Oh, and the Bruins are rapidly falling back down to Earth, after suffering their 3rd straight loss to the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets last night. How is your Jack Adams award winning coach Montgomery doing now? His only response; he made the team go through a bag skate last week! That's right, all your hero needed was a rope so he can completely try to emulate the true best coach in the league, John Tortorella!

Let me guess? "Frost will never be more than an AHL player"

Every statement you make on Frost, in the past or now. Is refuted by the facts.

You continually try and bring up Hextall who hasn't been the GM of the team in 5 years and was two GM's ago. That reflects on you, not me.

The sad reality is that you tell others they're embarrassing themselves while making an absolute fool of yourself on a daily basis. For literally years.

How is "my Jack Adams award winning coach doing now? Why his team has the fewest losses in the league. Is tied with Rangers for the overall lead in the league by points, 2nd overall in points percentage.
Your final comments are ridiculously embarrassing.

Actually, you are special. The only one I say "you're embarrassing yourself" to is you. I figure it's always good to speak to someone in their own language, tends to make the conversation much clearer.

The best coach? Laughable.
What is your response to Torts yesterday saying that he isn't going to develope players over the chance to win? I thought he was the best player developing coach in league, cause that's what you said.

First, I never said Torts was the "best player developing coach in the league", but he is very good at developing young players. Secondly, learning how to win and prioritizing winning is in itself developing players. Any coach that states there are things more important than winning are not worth their weight and are not good head coaches. Any player that puts his own needs ahead of the team winning is not a player you want on your team.

The interesting thing about the argument about putting Frost in the lineup is its less about his development, and more about the team winning games. People on this forum want Deslauriers gone and Frost in the lineup every night because they feel that is the best Flyers lineup and gives them the best chance to win games.

Everything you post here is incorrect. Tortorella is awful at developing young players and has a long history of poor decision making with players that turned out to stars once removed from Tortorella. Trying to win by removing young players from the lineup to win, is not developing players. Any coach on a team that is rebuilding, that puts winning ahead of rebuilding. Due to the fact that he is coaching for himself and his ego. Is not a good head coach.

Incorrect. People want Deslauriers removed because he stinks and is not part of the future. They want Frost in because he is a good player, is young and should be part of the future. If you think it's about winning. You're not paying attention.
