Well hopefully they can beat Sharks and stop the slide. Last nights loss was gross.

is this just the team coming down to earth after a surprisingly hot start, and this is really what they are? And, does Marchand seem slower this year?

Marchand has his bursts, but age might finally be catching up with him. Could also be something nagging that we dont know about.

I think the true Bruins are somewhere in between the hot start team and the team of the last few games. Most of us expected a regression of some kind, maybe settling out to be a wild card team or something of that nature.

If there is another loss to the sharks, or more blowouts in the coming weeks, I would expect there to be a shake up of some kind. I think they are in a holding pattern right now. Sharks, Leafs then Blue Jackets again are the next three. (another stint of 3 games in 4 nights). Then 3 days off. Should be interesting to see how the team responds to abysmal play over the past few games.

It very well could be. The positive is the hot start gives a small amount of grace to right the ship. I think a full 10 game sample starting with the 1st of the 3 loses will tell us who they are.

Based on today's practice, Marchy down to the third line with Poitras and Heinen and Debrusk up to the "top" line with Zacha and Pasta. We'll see if that is how things shake out during tomorrow's game.

Interesting. Might be a good idea to scale Marchand's minutes back a bit. Let him mentor at 15-16 minutes per night instead of riding him 18-20 minutes per night. Might even get some favorable matchups away from team's top defensive setups too. Interested to see how this plays out.

Yeah, he has one more year left on his current contract...I don't see him sticking around past that.

We will see. Depending on how this year and next year goes, might get one more year out of him.

The C weighs heavy on his sweater.
He's more effective when he isn't trying to be responsible for the club.
Tough line to walk right now.
