Perrault is very young for his draft year so he could be 18 for a few weeks if he comes over after his college season . But that’d mean he’d have a full year of very successful college hockey under his belt after his draft year. Not holding my breath for that though.

No it’s fake and is completely emblematic of what’s been wrong with the nhl and more specifically the blackhawks franchise. Instead of giving any sort of color on this they let something like this take hold and in all likelihood have to come out and say “no Corey Perry didn’t bang our 18 year old phenoms mother”. Which is objectively hilarious but such an unforced error

Let's figure Fox comes off LTI tomorrow and Kakko goes on. NYR would have 14+7+2 (including Chytil). With that roster, Rangers would have only $1.25M of space out of LTI pool, per CapFriendly. Space would not accrue, would be increased only by roster moves. Not good.

It’s got to be something to do with Bonino. Has anyone seen anything on him? Injury wise. I coulda sworn he didn’t play a shift after blocking a shot. But it could’ve been shortening of the bench. It’s why I figured they called up Edstrom

It’s kind of wild to think of because his offensive expectations were so high, but he had actually been playing like an almost perfect 3rd liner. Top 10% defensive forward in the league. That alone is worth his $2.1m contract. The issue is he was expected to fill out the top 6 rw. Luckily wheeler has been almost adequate.

It’s clear we need to trade for someone who can play on Mika’s rw (unless someone like Othmann proves he can, which won’t happen yet). But it was almost as necessary before kakko even got hurt given the lack of production on Mika’s line
