By my estimation there’s 3 possibilities regarding why Chicago did this:

1) Least likely: overcorrecting from the previous incidents and terminating his contract out of an overabundance of caution
2) Medium likely: it’s something pretty damn bad and any team would’ve done the same thing but it’s not mind blowing
3) Most likely: the Blackhawks org is still rotten to the core but still whatever Perry did was so bad that even they couldn’t cover it up in good conscience
