The Hawks are trying to be professional and manage this internally. We don't need to know, and it's none of our business. The blackhawks are doing right by keeping it tight lipped. This is what a good organization does to respect the privacy of the player and the team. There is absolutely no reason any of us needs to know. I imagine if the Hawks are dealing with it, they dealt with it professionally and appropriately. If I was the subject of unflattering rumours circulating in the public, and they were 100% false, I would release a simple statement denying any involvement. That's still honoring the private handling by the team. That's simply clarifying that the narrative involving me is false. No different than many of the Canadian junior players that said they were not in any way involved in the incident.

So again, the fact that the Bedard's haven't already addressed this is telling.

Hawks insiders have denied the rumor. Hawks are about to have a press conference in about 10 minutes, so we'll see if they deny the rumor. As for how you would handle it, I don't see that is relevant. Maybe the Bedard's think responding to these rumors is beneath them. Maybe give them more than 24 hours?
