Where the hell is the NHLPA? Why hasn't anyone said anything to defend Perry? Aren't we entitled to the presumption of innocence in this country? What the Blackhawks are doing to Perry is criminal. They have destroyed his character and reputation in a matter of minutes. The NHLPA needs to step up and sue the Blackhawks for every last penny they own.

The hawks don't owe anybody the specifics for his termination...Blackhawks management were informed about inappropriate behavior. They removed the offender from the team immediately, investigated, found the accusation to be true, and terminated the contract. They did the right thing. Gee it took whole five days over a holiday but thats just unacceptable to internet mob here.

Based on what I saw from the interview Kyle chalked up a bit. Which leads me to believe perry sexually assaulted an under age minor. Or did some webcamming with one. But the Hawks got the NHLPA involved immediately and the Hawks determined it wad best course. No one is throwing perry under the bus. The Hawks just said they cut ties because of breach of terms. A player can also tell the team he doesn't want to play for them. Again, I think the Hawks learned from past mistakes and got NHLPA involved fast and made sure they were in the know of things. And even the team is not even sure of what happened. So the Hawks are handling this quite professionally if you ask me. They aren't sharing anything because everyone who needs to know are the only ones that need to know.

I realize that but in this case, I can't imagine this has to do with what beach dealt with. I'm thinking Perry may have a drinking issue or he was very vocal about how poopty the Hawks were and came off negative in the locker room. Idk. But this is the right thing to do. People are going to ask and poke but I think it's best we just let the organization handle it. What if we fired you? Would you want the employer sharing why you were fired to the nation for everyone to see your dirty laundry? In my opinion it's unprofessional. Obviously people are going to ask since he's not with the team, but who knows. I'm of the belief that the Hawks have learned from the past. I just don't think it's necessary for people to know what's going on. It's private. We are fans but the issues are now that no ones business in professional sports is sacred anymore.

But if the police get involved, doesn't matter if it's me or someone like Perry - it WILL become public knowledge when charges are filed.

If I was the subject of unflattering rumours circulating in the public, and they were 100% false, I would release a simple statement denying any involvement. That's still honoring the private handling by the team. That's simply clarifying that the narrative involving me is false. No different than many of the Canadian junior players that said they were not in any way involved in the incident.

So again, the fact that the Bedard's haven't already addressed this is telling.
