How was my bubble burst? Davidson's press conference was pathetic and answered few questions. Moreover, NOBODY believes anything the CHI org. has to say given the Beach incident.

So the Hawks got Perry to be like a father figure to a young guy like Bedard just coming into the league. Seems Perry didn't understand that it didn't extend to his mom's bedroom.

Chicago unequivocally DENIED these rumors about this incident having anything to do with another player or members of a player’s family. It’s horrible that people speculate the worst about others. I feel for Bedard mother father and family to be dragged through the mud unjustifiably simply because some people have nothing better to do than to take joyous destroying other people’s reputations. Whatever Perry did may very well deserve consternation from everyone, but we do not know. There are so many possibilities and making things up does not make it true.

PS and I’m not defending that morally corrupt organization since they covered up a young man being raped and assaulted and basically not only got away with it but was rewarded with Bedard. Ottawa neglected to communicate a no trade list and they lose a 1st round pick. Chicago covers up a rape and gets fined money that’s just a drop in the bucket.

100% correct. The org. has zero credibility and Davidson's demeanor of acting like Perry is one the FBI's Most Wanted when there is supposedly nothing criminal happening fools no one. Either make a proper disclosure that removes all rumors or accept that rumors will persist until the story full leaks.

I wasn't aware of that. Be that as it may, unless an inside source can specify how he failed to create a "professional and safe work environment," the rumors will run rampant. I'm kind of shocked that Bedard's agent hasn't made a statement on behalf of the family (unless he did and I missed it).

That is true as those employment laws protect privacy interests and mandate confidentiality.

The Hawks are trying to be professional and manage this internally. We don't need to know, and it's none of our business. The blackhawks are doing right by keeping it tight lipped. This is what a good organization does to respect the privacy of the player and the team. There is absolutely no reason any of us needs to know. I imagine if the Hawks are dealing with it, they dealt with it professionally and appropriately. Just like if any of you or I were fired from our job, it's none of our business, nor is it acceptable for HR or anyone else in an organization to share personal stuff. Get over it.

What about the California source who said this summer that Kane would sign around December, with a contender, and he already knew the team he would sign with. I've had doubts at times, but Ek nailed that one. Would have been impressive if he just said that mystery contender would be Detroit. But maybe the source didn't want to reveal that.

Whenever I see Connor Bedard, I am reminded how young this guy is. I amazed at his maturity to handle everything and say the right thing. Like probably everyone else on this message board, when I was 18, I would not have been able to deal with the responsibilities he has to shoulder.
