Yeah, not dumping Kerfoot to keep Hyman for example? Maybe he couldnt have kept them all, but damn when you look back, Kyle was a bad GM.
At least he fixed the D and Goaltending though. - Snot Dillingham
I feel there is a very good chance they couldn't all be kept. |

Even on bikes appropriate for that I think I'd be falling all over the place, these guys are insane. Hate to see the crashes in this game. - Zezel

Look I dont hate the guy, but look at the returns for said players. He was inexperienced and built a skilled but soft team. Got fleeced like a blanket routinely.
I think the barista on the first floor is a good guy, but he should not be upstairs in a management role. Just sayin. |

oh
@MarinoMLB
Sources: Ohtani sweepstakes are moving along and the Texas Rangers and at least one team in the AL East has dropped out. Teams who feel they aren’t real players are beginning to take themselves out of talks.

@MarinoMLB
Among the teams I have confirmed are still in for MLB Phenom Shohei Ohtani:
Dodgers
Cubs
Blue Jays
Angels
This isn’t an exclusive list, others still remain in. These are just the ones I know are still in the mix. |

It would need to be about 3 million bad if he lets them terminate his deal. Even if other teams don't care or deem him forgiven, it's basically his last payday over 800k regardless. - AdamFrench
I understand. I think it just comes down to the prospect of winning the grievance versus how bad the information that comes out looks for Perry. |

Just OK doesnt and shouldnt cut it for the Manager or Coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs though.
Just ask Randy. |

I agree. He wasnt bad and stocking skill wasnt bad but not to the exclusion of the physical elements. He had his decent moves and then some bad ones.
Hell Tree swung and missed on Klingberg but scored on Gregor. Will see what he does on the trade front here going forward. Peeke would be a nice more physical add on the lower pairings. Zadorov more top pairings. Thing is to get you got to give so what will moves cost us here? |

roughly the same record as last year at this time but worse overall
2022/23: 52.3% 5v5 GF% (11th), 52.9% xGF% (10th)
2023/24: 48.3% 5v5 GF% (21st), 49.1% xGF% (20th)
work needs to be done. |

No i wouldn't.
Tkachuk does alot of other things and he has 18pts. He'd be loved here, specially after his playoff performance from last year.
If come the middle of year and hes stopped getting points and stopped whats made him so affective....then im sure he'll get ripped.
But fans would love tkachuk here. - Fakepartofme
YEP!
All day, every day. He's the exact type of player this team needs. A Dman like him would be awesome too. |

Not keeping McCann instead of Kerfoot or Holl in the Seattle expansion draft was a dumb ass move too don't forget. |

When you are behind the eight ball, you do the best you can.
And those players listed did not start to perform until recently.
You'd be old man Simpson shaking your fist and yelling at the clouds if they were still with the Leafs. |

and the cap hit came along with McCann could not be added and Holl was loved by Dubas because he was a cheap contract, IDK. |

That’s the point
He was too worried about being liked
Can’t be that way as an NHL GM
