I had a recipe for an apple oatmeal breakfast muffin. Right out of the oven drizzle some caramel sauce across it. A dozen gone in two days.
I can't find the recipe anymore and it makes me so sad to think about how (frank)en good they were.

Most of these guys have been drinking since junior and they're functioning alcoholics.
An old timer fishing guide I used to know took Danny Gare and his friends fishing every summer and Gare would drink 36+ beers on a 6 hr trip. Torrie Robertson told me there was a free beer machine in the Capitals dressing room and guys would drink beer between periods.

Yes, if he didn't have the Hart Trophy I'm not sure he'd even be considered. He doesn't even have 900 points in almost 1300 games. The selection process takes into consideration...character. Which is why, in my humble opinion, guys like Theo Fleury and Jeremy Roenick aren't in.

I know all about it. I was a functioning alcoholic. When
I finally quit my daily routine was 18 beers, couple more at the bar with a couple whiskeys after my meal. I then went home and put away another 1/3rd of a 26er of whiskey before bed. Wake up.... repeat. People didnt notice I was drunk at 18 beers... that came when I moved onto the hard stuff.
Functioning in the day drunk wasnt an issue... but keeping my drivers licence was.

We need to know more before this argument can be made. It may not be anywhere as bad as the stories that people are fabricating. The Hawks might be far more knee jerky for obvious reasons. Perhaps other teams may have taken another course. We just don't know right now.

Elliotte Friedman posted a public apology from Perry, he’s remorseful and ashamed of himself, admitted it was alcohol fueled event. The bad optics are already there, even if it was really nothing more than he got drunk and slapped some lady’s ass. Apparently it was a corporate event with sponsors and whatnot. Damage is done.
