to salvage this season, assuming the goalies work themselves out
you need an upgrade over samuelsson to play top line and another decent winger asap
you may have the winger in rochester but the coach is too scared to play them
dahlin-someone
power-ryan johnson
samuelsson-joker - homiedclown
Terry suggests Erik Johnson as that someone:

What's wrong with the Sabres?
- Roster Composition by the GM and the failure to execute on needed upgrade player acquisitions
- Coaching Staff. If winning is now priority #1 rather than development, then this Staff simply won't get you there. Change is required.
• Lack of Accountability, this falls under Coaching Staff...leads too heavily on failing veterans and under utilizes the younger players and continues to give starts to spent players...see OldSloPokeSo, SirFallsAlot and EJ
...see also RyJo, Savoie, Kulich
*** BTW - the above also falls under Roster Composition at the feet of Kevyn Adams as a lie of "We will not Block our Prospects" mantra...most saw the fallacy when the Larry's were all brought back.
There's more that fall on the players such as leadership in allowing slow starts, lack of effective compete etc. |

F@cking Adams needs to Open those Gates and break through the Barricade. Or He’s just gonna be a Uglier Bald Version of Ghandolph beating his Hockey Stick on the Pavement of Pearl St. " You Shall Not Pass".
Edit: Got caught up in a bit of the Rings Yesterday Hehe! |

Sadly, the Sabres played a decent game yesterday. Score skewed the possession but once they were down 3-0 they dropped the hammer on st louis for the rest of the game.
Unfortunately, UPL is UPL and he needs to have absolute clunkers, it's in his DNA.
He had a 33% HD save, going 2/6. And allowed 2 bad goals. The skaters in front of him allowed for at least half those chances with careless play.
They drove play and were the better team on the whole, but their errors by their goalies and defense were limited but extremely egregious. - TheSabresTaco
Not trying to be a jerk, I may be drinking the kool aid still but what 2 were bad goals?
1st goal by Saad is a screen of about 5 players
2nd goal is a good screen by Neighbors coming from below the goal line
3rd goal is a rebound where we are outnumbered 2-1 in front of the net and Dahlin picks the wrong side
4th goal was a blatant giveaway that lead to a backdoor tap in
5th goal he stays with Kyrou who beats Power, then puts a pass back across the grain to the netfront for a tap in
6th goal was a 2-0
I guess you can say he shouldn't have stayed with Kyrou and maybe he has a chance at lunging back across there to make the save on Hayes...but that isn't a BAD goal is it? I mean he wasn't good, but it looked to me like we were giving STL tap ins on defense despite trouncing them in shots as the game went on. We shot, they actually made plays. |

Don't agree with a few grades, especially when you are only getting a few minutes a game. But every Hockey Site you look at has really destroyed E.Johnson and Clifton. - Buff36
And Zadarov goes to Vancouver for a 3rd and 5th.
I guess Adams promised Johnson he would never get healthy scratched if he signed here. Sure seems like it |

Meatball said he expects both goalies to play this weekend, who do you want to see play against who?
Carolina - Comrie, need a spark and also need to send a message to UPL. High probability of losing, Adams goalie situation will be in free fall if UPL plays this game and gets shelled.
Nashville - UPL, this should be a winnable game. Nashville is having a similar season to the Sabres, this is a must win game. UPL gives them the best chance....I think. |

I like that order, personally. We can't do to UPL what we did to Levi and just play him until he collapses. He looked a little tired yesterday, falling away from shots, that's a sign he's being overworked and needs to be eased in. It's easy to forget but he had like 4 starts (excluding preseason) in 7 months coming into this year. |

Just noting that he does not seem to be included in the rotation. I’m guessing that was part of the promise if he signed here.

Lindholm and Rasmus Andersson to Buffalo
Cozens and a prospect (ex. Rosen and Kulich). And we will throw in Olafsson.
Calgary gets a center to build around plus an
A rated prospect such as Savoie.

Fair, I don't think he's earned a scratch quite yet, but I would be surprised if there weren't certain assurances about playing time to get pen to pad. It would be fun to be a fly on the wall for that convo. |

He's looked awful since the injury, but we're giving up on Cozo already? Or is this just a give to get situation? |

Cozens looks completely lost. If he can get us a nice return and we can shed his deal, I’m done with him. We need real centers. We don’t have a single one |

That's the adjustment in Granato's coaching style, going from development to winning and riding who he trusts...resulting in regression. |
