lol what the heck is wrong with this place. Now let’s trade skinner 😂😂
Couple problems:
1) stupid idea if you want to make playoffs
2 Most teams don’t have cap space for a 9 million dollar player - Sabretooth9
It will be even harder when he’s a $9M middle 6 winger in a year or two.
Jeff is a top 6 forward today, but life comes at you fast |
|

It’s not a big deal. In roch, he was still mehhh from all accounts. His 1 nhl game he was terrible. Way too many turnovers. He just looked overwhelmed.
Go play in the world juniors and finish out the year.
He also saved burning a year off his contract. - Sabretooth9
He had 5 points in 6 AHL games
Him playing in Roch would have still slid his ELC.
And the 2 shifts he played in Buffalo was not nearly enough to suggest anything

Tage, Cozens, Mitts, Krebs + Kulich, Savoie, Ostlund about ready to break in. C is a big organizational strength. - Lunaion
Listing Savoie as a Center is interesting. |

If they were a couple % better, they'd still give up goals off faceoffs.
It's very low on the list of how you should evaluate a C. - Lunaion
Maybe, but Lindholm is the Full Package. |

Cause he's gonna be playing RW on Kulich's line!😊 |

Not that interesting. If he doesn't play C, one of the big reasons might be because of their C depth.
I've been told Donnie is a center whisperer.

Rosen Kulich Savoie looked fantastic together in Rochester, could basically make your 3rd line out of them. |

And he loves it here and would never agree to be traded. He keeps it light in the room and is actually very effective at his job.
He should teach power skating to the guys so they can skate like him.

I wouldn't do that trade, Hertl IMO doesn't bring enough to trade Cozens for him. If we are trading Cozens I would try a sign a trade with Calgary for Lindholm. Rather pay him the 8.2mill for 7yrs than Hertl. |

Where did I say trade Skinner?
1. That’s impossible
2. Hes been one of our more consistent players last couple years
I pointed out that there is not room for our 4 top forward prospects, who are all very similar, so it’s time to trade one or maybe 2 rather than force them into 4th line roles |

He didn't say now, but something to think about down the road. Which depending on players Development might have to be a option. |

Seems like a major overpay for a guy on the last 1/3rd of his career |

So Peterka is on pace for mid-60pts, and Cozens had high 60 pt season last year. Add Quinn back to that line and is it unreasonable to expect them to be a 180 - 200 pt line in another year or so?
Mitts seems like a solid player now, expecting him to be in the 65 - 80 pt range. He is also pretty versatile playing virtually anywhere in the top 9. Having Benson on his with along with another winger or flip flopping Mitts and that player for C and having Mitts play wing seems reasonable. Candidates from among Kulich, Savoie and Rosen there. Could they pop for 150+ pts?
L1 should be in the 230+ pts level.
That seems to me like a solid Top 9.
But missing that grit factor

And a real center on all 3 lines. We have a bunch of converted wingers who can’t win face offs |

Cozens is 120 win, 125 lost, which is 49%.
Casey and Tage are much lower.
Krebs was at nearly 50% until the last 2 games. |
