Detroit has faltered since their hot start and are about to play Kane in their top 6 which I’m sure isn’t going to help.
Washington off to a hot start but their underlyings suggest a regression is coming there unless Lindgren keeps playing like a top 5 goalie in the league.
You have to think the Devils figure it out but Vaneck/Schmid can’t stop a beachball right now.
Philly is actually playing very good hockey, must be nice to have a coaching staff that gets the most out of a roster that was built to tank this year. Have to think at some point their reality sets in but who knows.
Ottawa is Ottawa. Los Angelas Chargers of the NHL. For some reason they continue to stink despite having some high end talent on the roster. Once again though, Korpisalo and Forsberg can’t stop a beachball right now and DJ Smith can’t coach his way out of a paper bag.
The wildcard spots are there for the taking whenever the Sabres want to play with more consistency and stop shooting themsleves in the foot with suboptimal lineup decisions. - Swedish_Jesus

I still think the Leafs are a playoff lock but there is blood in the water.
The transition from Dubas to Trevling has been rough.
But hey their coach banished Klingberg to robidas island, sits Reaves, put a player who hurts you in Domi in the best possible situation to succeed, and is rolling Woll over Samsonov who came down to Earth after his big year last year.
Donnie should take notes - Swedish_Jesus
The entire bold read likes a coach and organization that know what the (frank) they are doing, and are expecting to win. |

The whole world knew Erik Johnson couldn’t play anymore when we signed him, I put that on Adams.
Greenway has been a solid addition, Clifton will be just fine the second they get him away from Johnson.
Knowing that they couldn’t stand pat is a good sign, thinking Patty Kane was the guy to help you take the next step is a bad sign.
I still think Adams has done a good job that could be better if he makes the hockey trade he needs to make but he built a team that should make the playoffs with a lot more help on the way.
His loyalty to Donnie may be the biggest problem right now, and that will ultimately fall on him too if the coaching staff can’t figure out the basics

But they did stand pat. They replaced Lyubushkin with Clifton and Bryson with EJ and called it a day |

I swear to God, everytime the Sabres lose, Lance Lysowski mentions Jack Quinn as an unexpected, irreplaceable loss. Dude was hurt in June |

I’ve said my piece on Clifton.
E Johnson was inexcusable.
They were in on Pesce and Kane and missed on both. There is an acknowledgement that they need to improve from the outside.
If the coaching stops killing them in the meantime though it would be nice. |

There is 0 evidence to show this group will improve with a coaching change.
Adams, Granato, and the players all have failed this season. You continue to blame a singular issue in coaching, why?
Edit: I have seen you question roster make up. I am curious as to how you think a different coach gets a different result from this group. |

I’m not absolving Adams of blame, but to say the coaching isn’t the compounding issue is false.
Vancouver going to Rick Tocchet breathed life in the team.
Pittsburgh won 2 cups with interim coaches.
Different sport, but watch 5 minutes of Broncos football this year in comparison to last year and they look like they are playing a different sport.
Had Botterill hired anyone other than Kreuger, he might still be here.
Look at the Rangers this year after going to Lavy. Night and day difference |

If Jeremy White coached this team, they would have very few losses on their record |
