Of course, but he's chronically incapable of making necessary moves. This team cant afford to wait 8 more years for his 15-year plan to come to fruition - Hank Balling
I’m with you, I can rationalize everything up until this point.
Adams has 58 games left to get this team where it should be at this point of Rebuild 4.0 that started when Eichel and Reinhart were dealt |

this team is taking a BIG step backwards
someone needs to be held accountable as it's more than just a quinn injury and tage spending a few weeks on ir |

If I were Adams though, it would make sense to fire Granato now and name an interim coach then launch a full search in the offseason. That buys him another year and a half essentially.
I think Adams should be fired when Granato is, but that's the play for him imo - Hank Balling
We've seen this. Ends with Head Coach Matt Ellis.
How many times has he looked around at the options, only to stick with the guy who is already here?

As much bad you can point your finger at, I can show you a lot of good.
Like Botterill though, he might not be here to see it come to fruition.
Coaching change solves a lot of issues imo - Swedish_Jesus
Most of the good is simply making draft picks. Even now, those picks and how they fit into their plan, aren't making a lot of sense.

Maybe as an interim but I think they'd get an established name over the summer. And then Adams can do nothing with the roster again because a coaching change will fix all their problems |

Don't know. Terry has fired plenty of GM's/coaches. Maybe it's different with thse guys, feels like it is.

Keeping the picks, along with the players chosen, are both choices by the front office and ones that can/will bear many fruit. |

heard this when we drafted gringo and girgs
when we drafted risto and zads
when we drafted reinhart and eichel
when we traded for ror, lehner, kane
when we got all these draft picks over the years
and we still are not even watching 1 playoff game 13 phucking years later and not this season |

A rebuilding team keeping their picks is not remarkable in any way.
In hindsight, they clearly didn't need a full rebuild so his strategy is not grading out very well, in my book.

It’s 2018/2019 all over again with Donnie playing the role of Kreuger.
I don’t think I need to remind anyone what Eichel, Reinhart, Montour, McCabe, Erod, Ullmark, heck even Borgen have done since they left either. Or the fact that Tage and Mitts may have broken out sooner with the right coach.
There is a lot of talent on this team currently and coming up in this organization.
Adams has created a “sustainable” environment but he’s failing in the teams present “success” |

If you want to put some of this at the feet of Granato, fine
But the problems with this team were evident last year (and the year before for that matter) and the GM has not addressed them.
Coach will take the fall, and certainly he shares some blame, but the "aw shucks" gm is at least equally culpable - Hank Balling
He 100% should be fired. I cant imagine any reason to trust him going into such an important offseason |

Most of his picks are still TBD. Its not enough
If they turn out great or a real GM trades them successfully to make the team better we can thank him after the fact for drafting well
I wouldn't even care if he stays on and had a hand in the draft process. Just can't be making roster decisions for this team anymore |
