Really is, do we need a Core shakeup already! Damn it's only been a year. - Buff36
Might be that so called “core” isn’t quite as talented as we all hoped. Seems to be trending that way |

Where was he on the 1st or 2 goal?
He was caught sleeping on the 1st goal.
2nd goal he left his arm open. When he shouldn’t have. Goaltending 101. Keep your body tight on that play - Sabretooth9
Sure on a Faceoff through a 3 player screen of the Goal post.
And the 2nd Goal which was going about 2ft wide until it was tipped with UPL going the opposite way. SURE! |

Nice save UPL, game could be 5-0. Guess Cozens little speech didn't do much. - Buff36
Cozens took a punch from a defenseman after the play and Cozens just skated away |

Granato said it's something they discussed before the season about workload...this was scheduled 😂 (I’m not buying it) - washedup20

He would have said something in response but he realized he didn’t have his full cage on. L |

I want one person, anywhere, on any platform, make a real argument about how coaching isn't a massive liability
I've tried really hard to come up with different reasons and it boils down to insufficient coaching to me. I know most people feel the same but I want to see a different possible angle. |

Could be, or they don't have the right Coaching or Leadership to lead them into the next stage of there development as a team. They have a very inexperienced Coaching staff, just don't look like they have answers to their problems. |

This is first time Granato has faced any real "must win" type of expectations, and he's failing miserably.

This is exactly why he didn't want Peca around.

If we had to guess at what system the Sabres play, could we even come up with one? |

If he hires a President with an actual high level hockey background (ie - a duds type) and steps back… maybe he could.
But he won’t do something that smart, so you are correct |

The thing about Granato is, up until this season, he's done exactly what he was brought in to do: develop players into their full potential. He turned Thompson into a star. He finally got Dahlin to play at the elite level he was meant to. He was able to get Mittelstadt to finally graduate to the level of "not a disaster" (I still think he's a prime "sell high" candidate, but that's a different discussion).
His shortcomings when it comes to X's and O's, however, are masking the story of "The Emperor's New Clothes" that this GM has been spinning since the summer of 2022. |

He should have been brought in as director of player development. It’s not too late for that |
