EJ was so avoidable. Olofsson was avoidable.
Clifton, Okposo and Girgensons have declined hard. They were all useful last season.
Leadership can be bought and traded for. EJ never made any sense, other than his ability to PK, I guess. Which, come on. Wouldn't you rather find someone who is like, 50% as 'good' of a PKer as EJ, but also like 49-51% xgf on the bottom pair in EV minutes? That's not hard. Like the Flyers found Nick Seeler for (frank)ing pennies. |

It's most likely a better situation than if Adams tried to make any trades. He struggles to identify NHL quality talent, especially in supporting roles, which is exactly what he played in during his career, ironic. |

He's as inconsistent as the rest of the team, him being massive (but plays like he is 150lbs) helps his case. He is not the reason the team is losing, I really wanted him to find his mean side and become a spark plug but that doesn't look to be in his DNA.

Okposo and Girgensons had “outlier” seasons last year if you even want to call it that.
It was clear that they were not as good as the numbers suggested.
The Sabres also completely overpaid for both of them.
They are league minimum players maybe a mil.
Clifton was again ripe for being overpaid based on a few good games. It’s the Riley Stillman debate. He was good for a few games so this staff will be able to resurrect the career and make them be better than they ever were.
Adams concerns me with being able to add to this roster outside of just relying on draft picks to hit.

He been a lot more physical and willing this year.
I dont need him taking himself out of plays to make a big hit.
Guys been a hound in the offensive end and was a big reason He Mitts and Benson(I think it was) was our best line to start the year.
