I didnt see the hits but i do want to see what Jan thought about them. If he even mentions them. Hes unbiased when it comes to that stuff.

Red wings had 5 power plays the Rangers had 2 power plays.

If anyone thinks the Rangers were big bad bullies last night then it was called correctly.

Last two minutes of the game Red Wings had a powerplay and pulled the goalie for a 6 on 4 and couldn’t get it done.

These comments by this blogger are out of frustration over that.

Ok now add missed games between, Hughes,nico,meier..might be a reason we dropped in the standings after being 7-2-1 even though our goalies suck
- devils2929

So what youre saying is with all the injuries your team is starting to look like the Rangers and its not working out for you?

Our bottom 6 is Cuylle, Bonino, Brod/Kakko, Goodrow, Pitlick and Vesey, plus having Wheeler in the top 6.

Even hurt, the Devils have more talent on the ice than the Rangers.

haha, youre trying to tell me we have better goalies and defense. Both teams have scored just about the same amount of goals,so obviously youre not that much less talented offensively ..The difference, Devils have given up 20 more goals cause of leaky defense and bad goaltending. Devils may have better talent offensively but i cant say they do at defense and goaltending

I said nothing about the goalies lol, you guys chose not to pay the piper for Hellebuyck. Defense wise, we might have a slight edge but I cant say that they’ve been amazing. However Lav has got the guys to buy into his all out, lay it out style.

I like Jan. I’m just wondering if you read any of what I wrote or just a title. Jan has put in a lot of time and effort in a high pressure market. NYR and TOR are the epicenter of what the league is doing. And to get in and stay in a position covering either comes with the a little of sacrifice

Jeremy, I can understand your view in the blog and if I was on the other side, I might have a somewhat similar view. But, as other mentioned, my job is to be professional and remove all fan-colored glasses. That means I call it as I see it and call out the Rangers when needed. If they are dirty, I call it out and don't sweep it under the rug. The Cuylle hit was dangerous, not dirty. I could have seen that be five minutes not a misconduct or more. Same with Kreider and DeBrincat certainly saw him coming. Trocheck was more on the dirty side and he has to be smarter. I don't pander to my fan base or market I am in, if I did, I would lose all credibility.

Detroit simply needs to find a punk for their roster to inflict damage upon p.o.s. players like Krieder fir example...or better yet find a Wilson to make Panarnin hit the ice like the b1tch he is... and screw the broadcast team..... and the officiating, garbage.... classless New York squad led by Trouba... and the dbag coach they have... no respect for the opposition or the game.... at least Kostin reacted, I'll call out the Wings for watching their top offensive weapon get drilled from behind and nobody brought Krieder to task.... and the league certainly won't call out New York...after all, Trouba just baseball swung his stick to an opposing players head and oh well...accidents happen.... some b.s. .... karma comes around

I no longer live there, but I like the Wings. My great uncle worked for the team for nearly 30 years.

So did mine!!
Gordie Howe gave him one of his sticks after playing his last game!! It was passed on to my dad and my brother still has it.

I responded to Jeremy and to Henryhockey's reply to mine. Good luck moving forward all, looking forward to seeing how the Red Wings look when Larkin and Kane are in the lineup

Well said Larry, well said

“For the most part, their forecheck failed to contain the Red Wings, who, by the way, flopped and dived and embellished like an amateurish soccer club. Nearly every hit produced histrionics. Some of the time their acting fooled the on-ice officials. It was embarrassing. That was a large part of why Detroit had the final five power plays of the match.”

I wouldn't say I agree 100%. But overall, while watching live I was thinking to myself that Gordie Howe must be rolling over in his grave at the Red Wings playing with no toughness to be found at all.

Edit:
Panarin: one head shot - one penalty deserved, one penalty called.
Cullye: boarding call warranted, boarding call made.
Kreider: contact was nowhere near DeBrincat's head. Absolute hockey play, within the rules.
Trocheck: I guess it's a knee on knee hit, but there was no intent to injure. He had Raymond lined up and stayed on that line. Raymond tried to dodge quickly and couldn't get his whole body out of the way. I didn't like the call, but see why it's made.
I thought Detroit played ok, not great. Their speed is a real asset, but need to toughen up.

The Cuylle hit is their beef. That was legit bad. But Little Lucas showed up the ref, the NHL and himself with the stick lift. I’m surprised he didn’t pull out a razor blade and knick himself..ooooh ref look I’m bleeding

I don't believe you are an expert on Mars. So this has to be more belittling ridicule from you. Grow up, you obviously have more to offer.
