As a former goalie that played a high level of hockeyā¦.loving Primeauās game this season. He looks transformed.
I think his Laval time and playoff experience is bleeding over in a nice way to his NHL game. |

Itās always been my experience that any goal against is the goalies fault.. |

Yes. All 3 have been playing well. But the 2 younger tenders are more consistent than Allen right now.
And thereās not much to nitpick about Allenās overall game either. Butā¦.. |

Allen had a very ordinary game against the kings, but with no goal support either. before that he's been very good imho. |

I told Pat the other day. Allen was fantastic in October. since November 1st he's been terrible. below average, lost his last 5 starts with something like 0.875 for avg.
Monty started slow but is now their #1, I didn't check but until last week he had the best GAA in the league at 5x5. ahead of both BOS goalies.
Primeau had a good camp, and while not playing often enough has been extremely solid every time they called on him.
the odd man out is Allen, waive him. case closed. |

That Kings game was all on the system ā¦.uhhhā¦.i mean conceptā¦..being deployed against a superior concept. Likeā¦. keeping the puck out of your (frank)ing net on a consistent basis. |

yeah, I agree that Allen should be the one to go, but preferably by trade if possible.
and I'm still not sure why you're so bent on calling Monty a #1, but whatever, he's good and I also want the habs to keep him. |

I agree. And I believe, as of today, that Monty is 16th overall in the category that you mentioned prior.
To me, itās simpleā¦ā¦.but as a GMā¦..asset management, cap the future etc.
I donāt know a thing about what they have to deal with internally as it comes down to relationships and families as well.
Hence our return for Petry26 the 2nd time |
