CGY owners haven't liked to retain in the past.

Leafs probably had to fork another 3rd for a team to retain half.

So maybe thats why.

I'll see what Brad does...but the next D trade will be judged heavily based on this.

Leafs probably had to fork another 3rd for a team to retain half.

So maybe thats why.

Well if there was no possibility of retention I would much rather hold off to see if a Larsson comes available with term.

Tanev will be there in January/February.

Bottom line is if there was no chance of retention I am glad the Leafs didn't waste their whole LTIR on him...but who knows.

I think Peeke sucks to be honest. He is not physical and he can't handle facing anything above sheltered mins. He handles the puck like a grenade too. CBJ will regret that contract I don't think a team takes him.

He is basically Benoit, he advertises himself as a physical player but doesn't tilt the ice physically at all. A sheltered 6/7 D that you don't want in your lineup come playoff time.

“Needed” is the word that Weekes used. We don’t know if there’s any clarity about Klingberg and we don’t know if Treliving is looking for more than one guy and the $ matters.

I just think Zadorov got way more attention because he went public. He’s a 3rd pairing guy.
