So when does Reichel get his bus ticket to Rockford? Another disappearing act.

From John Scott between periods on the 2nd WPG goal, “… Murphy really has no business being that deep in the Winnipeg zone.”

Mistakes by rookies I can understand, what’s Murphy’s excuse? Really hope he gets moved at the deadline.

Well i think Kaiser was fine except for getting undressed at the blue line. It takes 5 guys on defense and Phillips was up ice a ton in that Wings game, with forwards no where to be seen.

It's the battle in your own zone forever, get possession in their own end, for example Kaiser had the puck on his stick one play skating it out getting hounded has to make a back handed pass to the left boards in the neutral zone and the forward is flat footed can't adjust to the pass while he's standing there, turnover come back the other way no forwards get back, ends up in the back of the net.

Or when KK activated and Johnson has a brain fart and decides as he's skating to the point to cut towards the net instead while Bedard was driving the middle lane.

This isn't a Kaiser problem, KK problem, it has a lot more to do with a very slow forward group that can't or doesn't skate back or make themselves open to passes.

And honestly we have 3 bottom lines.

3 and 2/3 you mean. What a train wreck KFC has put together both here and Rock. I really fear Bedard getting cheap shotted repeatedly with NO REACTION from teammates. If CB gets hurt it's on the head of KYLE freekin DAVIDSON.

Yup, should have been in the same Uber as Kaiser & Phillips. There is just nothing there right now.

Yeah, new guy just brain farted on the ice covering the goal scorer.

Still amazes me how poor they are at turnovers. Just so many “hope” plays and passes. And they give up so many odd man rushes. Growing pains, but WTF…

He was trying to cover for Murphy. See John Scott’s quote above.

Maybe they’re just giving NHL opportunities to younger prospects?

Well yeah, but beyond that 91 sinoly let the guy get behind him. They both messed up a bit there.

I see #91 Beauvillier and all I keep thinking is the Hawks brought back Drake Cagiulla.

Caligula is still out there. He can be part of the return for trading Mrazek to Edmonton.

I think Reichel is a little timid. He’s not comfortable with the puck or going to the tough areas.

100%. Just not enough skill in the forward group. Doing to be hard to sustain pressure. Guys don’t look like they have much chemistry either.

But that could just be more lack of skill.

Seen enough Tyler Johnson. Thought Vlasic was solid. Didn’t notice him much.

Front office needed to get vets that can skate with Bedard and Reichel. Thinks Reichel needs a game on the bench. Maybe tomorrow. Seems to just be going through the motions.

Dunno that I can hone it down finer than this - have had more than enough 5 on 5 play in the D zone that looks like a PK box ... it happens all of the time, regularly.

Reichel? What's he supposed to be? He isn't being really anything. They might as well send him back to Rock.

Lots of bad passing, and poor to non-existent breakouts (otoh- see the first bit - which I guess is the non-existent part).

Was a 3-1 game, but it might as well have been more. Are they playing more afternoon games earlier this season or something? I only remembered the league doing it later on in seasons - although admittedly I haven't had access to a streaming package for a couple of seasons -so maybe I just missed it.

For the first time this yr I thought Soderblom didn't look like the speed was too much for him. I missed the 2nd and 10 minutes of the 3rd but this was the most encouraging outing he's shown for me.

Did not bite on every possible shot, didn't anchor himself constantly leaving a gaping net numerous times a game, body was much much more quiet, cleaner, tracked well and all that leads to better rebound control.

Good chance we see some good games outa him upcoming. With as bad as the team is he still may give up 4 goals a game but still play well..

I used to look at Dach and say the same thing. On his ride home thinking about the game he has nothing, zero, to feel good about. Can't win a faceoff, turns pucks over all over the ice, can't get any chances let alone points.

Right now Reichel has nothing. Just skating around.

Don't know if this has always been and I've missed but Reichel either can't handle anything but a perfect puck or he's damn unlucky and 7 outa 10 pucks that come to him are wobbling...... Pucks either bounce off his stick or simply go right over it, many times for an icing.

Do no harm. If a kid is invisible or overwhelmed get em to RKF. Love the kid's tools but it ain't working and hasn't for a long stretch.

The Hawks have played 22 games and the only cheap shot I’ve seen Bedard take was Tkachuck pushing him a few times in his chest.

Not even dynamic. Just kind of coasting around a lot of the time. Send him down give Dach a 3-4 game taste?

Let’s hope that isn’t the case bc I thought that was one of the things he was supposed to excel at. Smart 3 zone type guy.

I was thinking the same thing, you talk about a kid that can't receive a pass, if he does he can barely keep it on his stick, then if he does he makes some terrible pass.

Yea i disagree with him they talk about defenseman activating, well watching this game today if the Blackhawks defenseman activated, and turned the puck over while he was down low, there was no forward to cover him today, WTF?

At least we know that the new guy can't recognize the defenseman activating. In fact none of the forwards can so if this is the case maybe they shouldn't activate the defenseman anymore, until they bring in forwards who understand this concept. Once a game they give up a goal because of this simple play.
