I hope to see Reichel on the 2nd line by the 2nd period. Not a game changer but I’d rather see Katchouk in for Entwistle.

I'm curious to hear from anyone if they think KD has any say on game day lineups and if so how much?

Could they have made Reichel's path this yr any more difficult for him? With maybe 25 NHL games under his belt he's slotted at 2C with wingers being juggled in and out and 2nd unit PP.

Then moved to 2RW. Then moved to 1LW. Then moved back to 2LW. A few games of #1 PP unit. Back to #2 PP unit. Scratched then draws in at 4RW!! ...... All in 25ish games????

The total opposite of simplifying things and or putting a player in a position to succeed. ..... And if the kid is a fragile sort the worry is he regresses which seems to be the case.

Speaking of Beauvillier, he was skating at practice this morning on the 1st line so maybe he got the visa. Reichel at 4LW.

Beauvillier-Bedard-Kurashev
T. Johnson-Guttman-Raddysh
Foligno-Richardinson-Anderson
Reichel-Donato-Entwistle

Vlasic-Jones
Korchinski-Murphy
Tinordi-Zaitsev/Crevier

Söderblom
Mrazek

Extras: Katchouk, R. Johnson

Kurashev may not be the guy but at least Bedard has the familiarity of a linemate to build chemistry with, no such luxury for Reichel. ......... And yea, it don't mean much but as I've posted all yr Boris has more offensive upside than any other bottom 6 guy on this roster. IMO if he sits LR is not icing his best lineup.

If LR has a doghouse I think Boris is the only one in there.

Eh, let's not get too excited about Beauvillier being a top 6 type. Or the equivalent of the Patrick Sharp acquisition as others have mentioned. The guy has 237 points in 513 career games and a high of 39 points in a season.

On second thought, maybe he qualifies as top 6 on this team, but I don't think he is part of a long term solution.

Maybe not but get a 5 game look at Beauvillier. He got good long looks with Andre Lee, Nelso and Barzal for 4-5 yrs with PP time in NYI and never popped. Did well with VAN after the trade and this yr can't crack the top 6 and is averaging 13:30 per game.

He'll get big minutes here with Bedard on L1 and PP1. Skilled dude, plays with pace and his motor is good. ...... Really nice move at no real cost for this roster with a chance for a 55ish pt upside.

The media follows the plight of underachieving young players.

This is off of the TSN site:

The same with K. Johnson and Broberg.

I expect a closer game with Beauvillier and Reichel in the lineup compared to the Wild game.

Celebrini is a freshman at BU. He may come out like Fantilli did after a year at Michigan. I agree with Eiserman spending at least a year in college and being a minimum of 2 years away.

Wiz, what do you think the timeline is for guys already in the system? Nazar turning pro next year? Does he make the team next year? Moore another year in college probably? Greene maybe leaves college, signs and spends time at Rockford? Ludwinski and Hayes graduate to Rockford.

I think the first round guys like Nazar see action in March.

Oliver Moore is a good question because you would love to add two speed guys but BOTH better have some muscle they are working on in college.

Unless Ludwinski or the other kids from two years look dominant in the leagues this year, I doubt they stick.
The leeway with Nazer IS his skill on the attack. I don't think you teach what he likes to do as a playmaker-scorer.

Moore has plenty more to learn if we want him to be a dominant shooter over set up guy.

I suspect they like many of their rostered forwards and are not looking to send the slew into the sewer just yet.

So not much help from the prospect forwards until 25-26. Then how much of an impact will they really have? I seriously think KD has to obtain some quality forwards beginning this summer. No question he has money to spend. Unless he wants another top 5 pick in 2025, he can't go into next year with basically the same forward group of the oft injured Hall (how's he going to be after his knee surgery anyway), some journeymen (Donato, Foligno if brought back, AA) and a bunch of 3rd-4th liners/AHL types like Entwistle, R. Johnson, Katchouk, Raddysh, Anderson. Even if Reichel comes to life, he alone won't be enough to change the outlook on the team next season.
