I think it is helping my argument in a way you aren't thinking about.
FLA put Montembeault on waivers and gave up too early on him, MTL could avoid doing the same thing with Primeau.

That only works if you think Monty is the answer, and he clearly is not the answer to Montreal's goaltending needs. He will not be the goalie when the Habs need to win, and if he is, the Habs will not win.
None of the current 3 goalies on the Habs are better than back-ups.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but mine nonetheless.

yep, I usually agree, they used to be very good. but when they switch to a pre-electoral mood... I don't know, they're like a different beast. totally out of control and saying/doing stupid things left and right.

He's never gonna be a 1A goalie... doubt he can be decent enough to be a steady backup. He's got no glove and is too often out of position.
