if you offer garbage to Colorado, they dont trade Barron a younger piece they needed for their rebuild
they had to move Lekh and get value doing it and they just did that
faut donner pour recevoir meme si les fans veulent toujours echanger les joueurs quils aiment pas - deadpoulet
exact, I even believe its a great example of a trade that was a win win for both teams |

oh absolutely,
but if Lek is good enough to play on the top6 in COL.... why the f*** was he not good enough to be on the top6 here?!? that's the question people are asking.
and while the return for Lek was good, imagine what it could have been if he'd played top6 and score a few goals here before leaving? that's another question people have.
here's a part of the answer,
when you have good players (like COL) you can add to your dynamic duo a guy like Lek. MTL couldn't do that at the time.
but they could now (or should) with Caufield and Suzuki. no need to add a Panarin or a Pastrnak on that line. a Lekhonen should do. or Ylonen!!
well, when Caufield and Suzuki decide it's time to play of course. |

Happy 114th birthday to @CanadiensMTL, born on this Dec. 4 in 1909, a franchise in the pre-NHL National Hockey Association. Canadiens went 2-10 in their first season with a minus-41 goal differential, probably happy that social media and sports-talk radio weren't yet around... |

lek played on the first line on that magical cup run with Danault and Gallagher
he was pretty much getting on fire when they traded him. They knew what they were doing, Lehkonen will be 31 when his crurrent deal expire. Barron is younger and made more sense for the rebuild.
by the way, Slaf is on the first line tonight with Suzuki and Caufield, thats a good move
But no, Ylonen should not be on the that 4th line with all the guys out
but for mr Emile, let him be in game shape and ready before calling him back so he does not get injuried once again
use your patience |
