Ain’t that the truth. Hard to expect more out of him last game. He kept the Sabres in it the whole game.

Could've gotten Leinonen much later though. We definitely needed to add to the goalie pipeline, but reaching heavy in one of the worst goalie drafts in recent years isn't justifiable either. Ratzlaff is doing fairly well I read, but the Thunderbirds are a ghost of the team they were last year so his save percentage doesn't make it seem that way.

It was a weak goaltending class and he was ranked as the #1 goalie by some outlets.

He wouldn’t have made it to their 3rd round pick hence the selection.

Kokko was the only other goalie taken before the 100th pick and he went to Seattle I believe around 60. It was a bad pick for who was still on the Board, and it's looking even worse now.

I really don't know what the hesitation is in about trying to win right know. Sustainability is one thing, but what does it matter if you don't use the Assets to better your Team.

Rosen has looked pretty decent I thought and made some really high level plays in the o-zone. His issue is the same as when he was drafted, he needs to continue to bulk up. He still looks like a small 18yo.

I agree was a reach, but doesn't change the fact that we needed to start drafting tenders again. We had literally nothing behind UPL and Levi after Portillo was traded.
