Had a ROTM award last year too. I think the question shouldn't be whether or not he's good, he has talent, but whether or not we can build a good enough defense to cover for his off games. Inconsistency isn't going to go away completely. I believe he's at 9/11 for quality starts right now, we need a defense that can cover for one or two every ten.

Given the defensive woes, I really don't anymore tbh. Rightly or wrongly, I consider him an NHL tender. The only question now is if he's backup or starter quality. Those are the backup type numbers for sure though.

Still kind of clinging onto the idea he'll be a great 1B to Levi if we play our cards right.

Yup, bowling ball type. Hands are non existent, but good shot. Honestly, we needed help in the bottom6 which is exactly what he'll do. I'm not hating it. Wish for more. Not surprised this is it, but not a bad pickup if the return is minimal.

Yeah, just a couple. Power and RyJo will get better at defending as they develop. I'm still of the mind this ship can be turned around much quicker.

I need to see it for more than 2 months. 2nd half UPL from last year was not NHL quality.

Lot of uncertainty with both him and Levi.

I guess I won't complain if we gave up nothing. With Tuch, Greenway, Girgs and Quinn out we are down a lot of bodies, especially ones that can play some resemblance of defense.
