There is a massive difference in acquiring a guy like this, and actually spending some assets to get a top six player a.k.a. Timo Meier that has some jam.

Within The first three minutes of every single game - in my head I can hear “Needle Nose Ned” saying - in that excruciatingly annoying voice - ““Well … Watch out for that first step, it’s a doozy!!!” Groundhog Day Movie = Sabres Season ….. over and over. Fans are getting straight complacent. Over the anger, frustration, over the broken record …..just numb. Your prose - screams without screaming - what we are all feeling. Like I said yesterday, you are the hockey reincarnation of the “I was told Steph Curry couldn’t shoot guy”.

This was the year to take the step, Adams has done some great work with contracts and on the amateur scouting side and is failing miserably at the professional level.

There was no excuse for the team to take this much of a step back this season.

But I don't think the Penguins go back-to-back without Kessel and his particular skill set. In a perfect world, Skinner can age into that role on a line centered by Cozens while the top-6 is anchored by some of these high draft picks like Savoie, Kulich, Benson, Rosen and the established guys here

They had to fit a 4th standard deviation on his RAPM chart to show how terrible he is defensively.

Does he produce offence ? Yes.

Is he the worst defensive forward in hockey ? If he isn’t, he’s not far off.
