Thats why sophomore seasons are a thing. You come in to a good situation, young, feeling great, play great, it carries and carries and then the offseason hits, you don't play for a few months and need to get back to form but theres no adrenaline no extra kick to get ya there its yourself and your abilities and his aren't up to par unfortunately.

Not to mention this team has not helped in the majority of their games.

He should be full time in the AHL. Its not a bad thing to follow the path 99.9% of other goalies follow.

Not to mention the guy has ALWAYS taken the extra year and perfected his game in lower leagues before jumping up to where he should be. No reason he shouldnt be doing that now.
