The best part about the McAvoy - Peterka play last night is it was emblematic of how the team played the entire game: Tough.
They didn't back down, kept attacking, were physically engaged, in Boston's face the entire game, and were difficult to play against.
It's what Cozens lamented about after the game last week.
On that play, Peterka was prepared to get hit, but not just prepared, as he got set in a position to deal out some damage himself.
I'm already a Peterka fan, but if he also learns to ramp up the physicality, look out. Skies the limit. - kingcong39
JJ just keeps growing his game, kid still isn't fully developed physically. |

He's a bull on the puck, a bull with the puck, and no fun to play against.
It's fun to watch.
I think there's room for even more growth in his game too. |

Good for him, it's great to see some individual players growing into their roles. It's cool they won a game...:

With as well as those top 2 D pairs played last night. Might be time to use that plethora of Assets to get a Top 2 RD for Dahlin.
Samuelsson Power looked good and Joker R.Johnson were impressive. |

If keeping EJ means it keeps Bryson from playing, he is our most valuable defender. Period. |

The Sabres and the NHL have clashing auras:
Neurologists contend that people may perceive auras because of effects within the brain: epilepsy, migraines, or the influence of psychedelic drugs such as LSD. It has been suggested that auras may result from synaesthesia.
What is synaesthesia you may ask:
the production of a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body.
The evidence is clear, this collective is a hippie circle jerk. - washedup20

Steve Bernier called and said let's wait until more than one game before judging, just to be safe. - kingcong39
Oh jeez, I had almost repressed that particular memory. Have to figure he's going to have a little pep in his step during the first game. But pretty happy we have him as an option now with the other Larrys, if that isn't going too far. |

A little Friday hope:
Dylan Cozens 22
Kulich 19
Mittelstadt 25
Krebs 22
Benson 18
Peterka 21
Quinn 21
Rosen 20
Tage 26
Tuch 27
Dahlin 23
RyJo 22
Power 21
Sammy 23
Levi 21
UPL 24
Dark times despite the win, but the future still looks bright with this group. Might need a coaching change. Definitely need a couple trades...but there's blocks to build upon here. Having Dahlin, Cozens, Quinn, RyJo, Petey, Power and Levi all 23 or under, is a huge deal. |

I noticed this also last night. We were more physcial that the Bs. Everyone was working hard and finishing checks. It's exactly the way you want to see this team play and I don't understand how we can do it against one of the most physical teams in the league and not bring that same style of play and effort every other night. We don't necessarly need a ton of gritty players to play a gritty game. There is nothing more intimidating than a team that can skate and is also willling to finish checks. It gets in your head that you have zero time/space to make a play, which leads to mistakes and turnovers.
